Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows definitely! Night by Elie Wiesel made me cry.
I think most of all Lurlene McDaniel’s books, really any of them. Best one I’ve read though is To Live Again.
Oh so many–I’m a softie, so it doesn’t take much, but most of the Harry Potter books have made me cry, as did The Time Traveler’s Wife, the Lovely Bones, Where the Red Fern Grows, Jane Eyre, Atonement and, most recently, Neil Gaiman’s fabulous The Graveyard Book.
These are the ones I can remember crying over:
Gone with the Wind
Ruffian: Burning from the Start
Harry Potter (multiple volumes)
The Return of the King
Where the Red Fern Grows
Deathly Hallows nailed me a couple of times, but I’m curious which one is “that scene” to you?
Oh yes, and The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
Oh, one more: Never Let Me Go. I definitely cried at the end of that one.
@The Counteragent – Most definitely Bridge to Terabithia. Most moving children’s book I’ve ever read. Also…in memoir land…Tuesdays with Morrie, Angela’s Ashes and A Long Way Gone.
I bawled my eyes out reading Marley and Me. Anyone who has ever lost a pet can not read this book and have a dry eyes. It hurt losing both my dogs all over again..10 years later.
The Lovely Bones made me cry a lot. Also Time Travelers Wife and 13 Reasons Why brought tears to my eyes. There are so many out there that are sad, but the ones that make you cry are the ones you remember
I cried after reading “The Bell Jar” and “Death Be Not Proud.”
Little Women gets me every single time.
thas an easy one. Only book that I cried the last 100 pages. “Time travelers wife”
Dragonlance Legends: Test of the Twins. When Raistlin stays behind to close the portal, it’s just too much. I cry like a baby everytime.
Little Women. The chapter where Jo and Beth are at the beach and Jo has to to accept that Beth is dying causes me to cry EVERY time.
To Kill a Mockingbird and Judy’s Blume Summer Sisters
