Google's new similar images search lookin' good

Tags:

Google has launched another shmantzy search feature: similar image. It’s a visual search tool that lets you sorts images by how much they look alike, rather than just that they have matching keywords. Instead of refining your search by adding more terms, you find a thumbnail you like and click "similar image" to see more results. It’s still in its not-fully-functional labs stage (though I sort of don’t trust Google’s distinctions there — Gmail has been in beta since God was a baby), but it’s a fun tool, and I’m guessing it’ll be integrated with the regular image search sooner rather than later.

¿Les gusta, PopWatchers? What do you want Google to come up with next?

I find it very frustrating that this tool currently seems to exclude porn… let’s be real people, porn is a major driver of the internet and associated tech…. get with it google!
