I agree with what some have said before: the subtle acting of the characters really made AD and that is totally lacking from this show. I really enjoyed about half of the show and hated the rest. I will give it another watch and see if it improves but I can’t say that I like it so far. Although, I didn’t like the pilot of venture brothers but now I love the show and I cant say Im a fan of early simpsons but now I also love that show. Hopefully it improves… Why was Arrested Development canceled?!?! *SOB*
This show was so horrible. Why is it just so popular to have the most random thing try to spur laughter?? That is cheap laughter, and not anything truly funny. This was yet another truly obnoxious adult cartoon out there…humor around cocky attitudes and apathetic comments. Shock value is the easiest laugh you’ll get. Completely generic, boring, offensive, and a waste of time. Put some effort into writing! Just because the writer thinks it’s funny doesn’t mean it’s funny to the rest of us. ugh. Please! Let’s stop being so obnoxious!

As a teacher…there are so many things you can do to make this show funny which we can’t do at school. Such as show the teachers in the lounge making fun of the dumb-asses we try and teach!!!
I watched the first show and thought it was horrible. Until now I had no idea the creators had anything to do with Arrested Development, a show that I found hysterically funny. The only animated series Fox has right now that is worthwhile is Family Guy. The Simpsons, while once a great show, has gone waaaaay downhill over the last several years. King of the Hill annoys me, and American Dad is unoriginal.
You lost me at “brilliant” and “Michael Cera”.
I believe this show has the seed of greatness, i just think some people are whinning cause King got replaced. I watched this show and got a few good laughs out of it. I honestly hope this show can stay on the air.
I was wondering why it was on. It was the most Unfunny show I have ever saw. After the first five minutes, it should have been replaced by a film of grass growing.It would have been more funny.

I thought this show was pretty awful. And I adore Family Guy and American Dad. This show was boring, at best. I would’ve rather been doing dishes or laundry.
Unlike Family Guy or American Dad this show will only be funny if you think. Family guy works on two levels, one: a fat guy being an idiot and two: asking America to reflect on itself and laugh. Sit Down Shut Up will only be funny if the viewer is paying attention and willing to listen to every line. If you have seen the show and dislike it, I recommend either giving it time or admitting you would rather see a fat man act like a child (which yes can also be funny). I guarantee that this show (if it is not canceled) will be able to hold its own in the comedy world, but only if people watch it, not just stare at it.
