I don’t care for Kris Allen live or recorded. he’s definitely cute, though.
I think Falling Slowly IS obscure. Not many people watch the Oscars to begin with. Plus, the movie that the song came from, and the artist that sang the song, aren’t exactly mainstream. Teenagers and kids sure haven’t heard of the song, and that includes me. I do think it is a beautiful song now that I have heard it though. I don’t get why obscure means bad to so many people; if someone is singing a song that you haven’t heard before and it’s a good song, what’s the problem? For me, it helps not to have heard the song, because I fully embrace the contestant’s take on it, as opposed to making constant comparisons to the original. (Syesha and Vanishing! David and The World I Know!)
Bailey – a lot of people hate Adam? Where do you get that from? He consistently gets votes that place him near the top every week. He might not actually win this but I don’t agree people hate him. I’m not voting for him but I do think he has a large loyal following. I actually like Anoop but I think more people dislike (not hate) him than Adam.
I’ve never seen Adam be “obnoxious”. Some of his fans maybe but he has not displayed that. Don’t confuse the two. I have not been voting for him but I find him to be humble and gracious on stage. GO KRIS!
Michael: As much as I like reading your take on idol, I equally dislike with your assessment of Anoop this week. Your reasons for seeing him out this is as irrational as you are about seeing Allison/Kris in the same league as Adam. Both of these 2 have had their share of poor song choices and bad performances; only they escaped from the beating of the judges unlike Anoop, who has continuously had lukewarm reception in the show. The higher ranking for Matt over Anoop simply based on the judges save only makes me think you got a free ticket on the judges bus. Adam FTW
Leila- I disagree with you. I’m sure his wife wanted him to try out for Idol, so trying out was doing what she would have wanted him to do. And I’m sure that he feels advancing would make her happy as well, so that is why he celebrates.
Anoop is boring but I hope he stays another week. I want Gokey to go even though I sometimes like his voice. Lil is annoying. Allison is good for her age but seriously needs to work on her diction and stop pronouncing everything with a ‘H’ like she has phlegm in her throat. I hope the final 3 are Kris, Adam and Allison but I know they won’t be.
ok, everyone says they shouldnt do disco night, but disco was an awesome era, even if the music wasn’t that great, it is probably the funnest kind of music i know. Who doesn’t like some dancing queen by abba??? Adam will rock it tomorrow night!

The CONTESTANTS have input in the lighting and stage settings. Adam knows his lighting because of his background. In the article with the AI band, the drummer was talking about how different they all are but he loves working with Adam because he knows his music and likes the drums etc big. It has nothing to do with the producers.
The African Americans don’t think this way, trust me. They’re voting for her.
