'Celebrity Apprentice': The best bad show in television history!

Whether Dennis Rodman is dressed up like a chauffeur, Clint Black is pretending to use detergent to masturbate, or Joan Rivers is yelling at someone for being mean to daughter Melissa, Celebrity Apprentice continues to be the guiltiest pleasure going. They could make every episode 8 hours long (and sometimes they indeed feel that way) and I’d still be devouring every second of it. This week on Must List Live!, Jessica Shaw and I discuss my unhealthy obsession with the reality program. Also: I try to convince Jessica that the Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica is not just for geeks, Amy Poehler talks to us about her new favorite DVD, and we’re still giving away FREE passes to Comic-Con this July in San Diego complete with a hotel room and passes to our exclusive Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con party. (If you can’t get enough of contest fine print than you can read all the rules here.) And as if all that isn’t enough, we also present: zombies and Depeche Mode—together at last! Click on the video below to get all the second-rate reality show celebs, sci-fi prequels, and walking dead that you can handle!

First! And I don’t even watch this show!

  • Janet L

Each week shows a nastier and more childish Joan Rivers. Her Hitler remark shows the true media —- she is. When anyone other than her horsey daughter makes a positive move, he or she is crucified. She is the epitome of a non-team player. A washed up “entertainer” reduced to hawking junk jewelry, she viciously attacks any threat to her or her amazingly untalented spawn. I have been watching the show only to see the two given the heave ho. But Trump proved he has picked the Rivers divas, with their alien appearances, as his ultimate winners, despite the fact that neither contributed an iota to the second task last night, other than to whine and point the finger at everyone else. For that reason, you have lost another viewer here Mr. Trump. Your bias is beyond laughable and you have made your show a shill for these two B list losers.

Sunday nights my whole family sits down for Amazing Race, then Celebrity Apprentice. Apprentice is a hoot. My 16 year old says he would fire them all. *LOL*

  • AS

Amen to Janet L. It was clear last night that either Clint, whose horrible auctioneering was the reason for the loss, or Joan, with her inability to process that she’s playing a game, should have been fired. When Natalie was, for simply selecting the wrong jewelry that Clint the bumbling fool wouldn’t have sold anyway, it was clear that the fix was in. Trump is a first-rate jack@ss.

JOAN RIVERS SHOULD HAVE HER OWN SHOW! She is a goddess!

  • thebigone

I agree with Janet L. There is no doubt that Joan Rivers should have been the one fired last night. It is obvious that Donald will do all he can to save his friends rather that do what is right. Joan & Melissa are horrible. Shame on the Donald!!!

  • Adam

Can’t wait to see Joan and Melissa go at it. No doubt Annie will be savouring every moment.
    I hope Jesse wins.

What does a childish brat do – throw things, break things, stomp their feet and pout, oh yes, call names like HITLER, and threaten to leave. Sound like JOAN ?- but she brings the drama and absurdity that the Donald wants on his show. HE HAS NO SHAME.

  • marie

I am Marie – not the one who made the mean spirited remark “ugly”. What is ugly is her remarks – calling names like a six year old. Susan is beautiful, and her voice is God-given.

  • connie

When the Donald asked Jessie what his movie star wife saw in him he should have answered that some people marry for LOVE instead of love of money which is something he wouldn’t understand.

  • Pete

I disagree with most of you regarding Joan Rivers. She calls it as she sees it. Get over the Hitler remark, for god’s sake. It was a figure of speech. She meant Annie is a tyrant, not that she kills Jews. Good grief.

  • rda367

Joan might call it like she sees it, but her rants are revealing that she is either a horrible nasty person, or demented. Even Melissa threw her hands up and said “What am I supposed to do – she is a 76 year old woman”.
Comparing someone to Hitler is never a good move. Joan can’t stand on her own merits, so she needs to personally attack people. Annie is Hitler. She will never buy Clint’s records. The model has bulimia. What about her over stretched face and tired worn out act? She wasn’t even funny 20 years ago when she filled in for Carson.

This show has become a complete farce. Over the last several episodes Trump has not so cleverly removed anyone who isn’t a controversial a-hole. It’s not about playing the game best anymore, it’s about whose out of control ego will garner this fading show the most ratings. Gulbis was just the latest quiet casualty; there is no reason whatsoever she deserved to be fired over Clint black or Joan Rivers. And you know Trump was dying to get the reserved Hershel Walker off even though he has raised the most money. Trump conveniently used the “losing project manager” even though Walker’s performance as project manager in the second task was leaps and bounds better than Joan Rivers’ performance in the 1st task and even though Clint Black F uped again. All this make Trump look like the phony hypocrit he really is.

I was disappointed to see Hersel Walker leave the show. I think it was wrong for Donald Trump to fire him. He should have fired Clint Black, because he was very incompetent with being a auction announcer. I know he was trying to help Hersel out but he would have made him look bad if Joan didn’t suggest that they make changes to his soy chicken that tasted so horrible that he claimed that his wife made so well. He was very difficult to get along with in terms of Hershel Walker being the Project Manager. In fact I think he was the one out of line to over step the Project Manager. Donald, I think you got that one wrong. Take a look at your decision. I’m pretty sure that more than half of America felt that you should have fired Clint.

  • Sheryl

Clint should have been gone AGAIN last night. Everything is about him. I thought it was crap when Chloe and the rapper (sorry forgot her name) were kicked off. Clint and Melissa should have been gone that week. Any other boss would have fired the project managers for failing that task. The show is a joke. Joan with her comments to Annie, the fact that Clint is still in the game and Melissa’s whining because Annie doesn’t like her or give her credit. Give me a break. Even Annie is becoming annoying. I only watch for Jesse. Glad he won last night.

  • Kathryn

If I remember correctly..it wasn’t JOAN who thru out the “hitler” comment…it was IVANKA. Joan added to it, but she didn’t start it.

  • Dana

Still like Jesse a lot, nice down to earth man. I hope he wins. Don’t care for Annie Duke, she talks way too much. The River’s woman are crazy but Joan can be funny with her antics.

  • Laura Smith

i love the show. honestly, as annoying as melissa is, i think she works the hardest…but jesse is definitely the smartest dude in the room….love jesse..HATE annie.

  • Clever Viewer

The most interesting element of the show is how Donald J Trump, Sr handles the ongoing threats of Mrs. Joan Rivers and Ms. Melissa Rivers to quite in the middle of the show if they don’t get their way.
Mr. Trump has to balance the threat with the preceived value of retaining, particularly Mrs. Joan Rivers on the show.
Thus far Mr. Trump has had easy scapegoats but not much longer.

  • insgirl

I have never been a Joan/Melissa fan however Joan’s business experience has saved several projects from being complete disasters. Melissa does work hard and tries to work with the team.
Last night was very hard because everyone did something wrong and something right.
    1. On the project with the jewelry, they chose the wrong pieces which was the fault of the person who chose the jewelry as well as Joan for giving her that task. Clint (although I love him) was a horrible auctioneer and Hershel did nothing. Truthfully all the money could be attributed to Joan for her auctioneering. Anyone could have been fired.
    2. The food contest again, Clint was the only one who suggested a recipe, Joan modified the recipe, Clint did the marketing and Hershel did nothing.
Has anyone on those teams ever had any marketing training or sales classes. The first thing you do is to find out who has skills in any area of the project. The Athena team is probably the worst at that.

  • kr

why does donald instigate emotions from joan to only make fun of her after; why does he instigate more between joan and annie? misogynist or knows where the drama for the show will be? he surely knew to back off from jesse re: his wife.

  • Joe

Wouldn’t you like to see some more of the celebrity’s help US people out!!!!

  • CAB

Are you ever going to post answers, winners, haikus from prevoius weeks?

  • 5am

    Clint rules!!

  • Han Jobb

Joan is pretty pathetic. Saying she will quit if her daughter gets fired, saying she will never talk to Clint again or buy his records and not to mention calling Annie: Hitler. Don’t get me started on her cartoon Michael Jackson face. She is one pathetic women. I don’t even find her jokes mildly amusing. Now Dice was funny but this old hag, blah! I wish Donald would fire Melissa next week so both mutants would leave. Hopefully it’s Trump’s last attempt at Celebrity Apprentice since the ones that cause more drama stay in the game even if they’ve displayed the least amount of business talent. I’m looking at you Clint! The original format was alot more interesting since The Don is less of a push-over compared to the Celebrity edition.

  • Jeremiah

I think Trump is going to h e l l for endorsing this kind of a show. What was he thinking letting Joan get away with the things she said. He fired Chloe for alot less, why not her for displayed no class at her fricken age she should know better. What a talentless old hag.

  • dave

Again, Joan and Melissa Rivers seem so perverse in their dysfunction – chronic outbursts, odd and unnecessary defense of one another, paranoia, etc. – that both must be knee-deep in therapy bills. It might be too late for Joan to join the ranks of the ordinary, but maybe there’s still time for Melissa to turn herself around and lead a reasonably normal life. More:
