Is an Adam-Allison final two an inevitability on this eighth season of American Idol? How come Anoop can’t get any respect? Could Disco Night be a chance for a "shock elimination," like, say, Danny Gokey? And what have Swedish vampires got to do with Idol? I don’t see Allison going all the way to the finals, her fanbase is not that big.
Oh god I hope so, they’re the only two worth watching. Allison actually does have the best voice, but unfortunately Adam will win.
No way could Danny leave this week. No. Way.
Leila- I agree!!!!!!!! I can’t stand Allison and would rather someone more original then her be in the top two.
Honestly it doesn’t matter either way, ADAMS GONNA WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Funny how my opinion is often right on with Michael Slezaks. However, I’m not a big Allison fan. I think there’s not much of a chance to see her in the finale. She’s already been in the bottom 3 at least twice. I can’t imagine Adam not winning this competition. Like it was said on the video, his voice hits every note. It’s like a well oiled machine. Nobody can deny that.
I do hope kris wins….
Is it sad that Idolatry is how I follow American Idol? Why sit through Ryan Seacrest when I can just enjoy Michael Slezak’s commentary? Anyway, just wondering if we’re going to get a Scott exit interview?
This is in relation to the idolatry on 4/10 about Kara and Matt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efxjaG8FLtI
Kristen and Michael were clearly right.
Oh wow. Allison is not in the same league as Adam.
Oh Sleazak! How thoroughly excited I was to see Let the Right One In. Now I love you even more!
Allison has “it”…like Janis Joplin and even Kelly Clarkson…Adam, of course, has monster talent, but there is something over-polished and calculated about him. Even if Allison gets eliminated, songwriters and producers are foaming at the mouth to work with her, because her original interpretation of material and unique, husky voice are truly something special. Will be curious, tho, to see what kind of record Adam puts out.
Really nice to see the Let the Right One In reference. I’ve been wanting to seenit for along time.
No Love for Kris? He was the best last week.
Suzanne, Fret not: we covered Kris Allen’s performance in Friday’s Idolatry! -Slezak
This has been going on too long. I’m getting really tired of people making up stuff about Anoop being “cocky”. Let me ask you this Slezak: What was Anoop supposed to say? You showed a two second clip of Anoop but of course you cut off where he said he was encouraged by the judges’ feedback. After you even stated he had one of the best performances of the night (the best imo) and even got the best judges’ feedback, what the hell is he supposed to expect? Should he have absolutely no self esteem and throw a pity party for himself every week? It seems no matter what Anoop says, people find a way to make it negative.
Ever notice how Anoop is practically the only one who gets asked loaded questions by Ryan? Like “You look frustrated, what do you want to say about the judges’ comments?” or something to that effect. It’s obvious the show is trying to make Anoop look “cocky” by making him answer ridiculous on the spot questions. It’s unfair.
Anoop is the best singer to come on Idol in years.
