And I have no doubt Simon feels the same. He HAAAATES being bored.
Randy’s comments to Kris: “Worst critique in the history of American Idol.” LOL, I have to agree with Slezak on that one. But at WhatNotToSing.com, Kris only received a 63 composite rating for the performance, which is good but not great. The WNTS people guessed that Simon’s inability to speak cost Kris “8 to 15 ratings points”, because the song was unfamiliar and a lot of people didn’t know whether he had sung it well or not. Adam, Allison and Kris are a total slam dunk Final 3, and if any of them don’t make it that far, it would cement this season’s status as a complete joke.
My stepmother always said that only boring people get bored. (Kris haters, that was for you.) Kris is not. He’s very talented and I look forward to hearing him every week. Not the same for anyone else. I cross my fingers with Allison, watch with one eye open when Adam starts, and cringe when they announce Anoop’s song choice. Everybody else gets f-fwd’ed on the DVR. I admit that I am biased as I also find Kris to be dreamy, but I would rather listen to his album (here’s hoping!) than anyone else’s on the show. Just saying. And Slezak, you’s the bee’s knees. I like you for your opinions, and that’s what you’re paid for, so keep sharing em. They make me chuckle.
Does anyone else think that Danny’s voice is sounding more raspy (or strained) as the competition continues? I know nothing about singing voices, but it seems to me that there is a change going on. Any insight?
Randy was actually correct, Kris was rather pitchy. It gives me no pleasure to admit that the dawg was right because I like Kris Allen and think he’s definitely top 3 material but his performance last week was just not all that terrific. Allison also hit some major flat notes as well. I really only enjoyed Adam’s performance, to be perfectly honest. Lil and Matt were both awful and definitely deserved to be in the bottom.
I’m dying to see the idolatry interviews of Lil and Danny when they finish their run on Idol. There was some choice words said on both singers and I’m wondering how Michael is going to face them. I’m also clueless to who is voting for Lil. She can’t hit half her notes. I agree with the person who says who wants to hear an entire album where she is belting. And her attitude can be very stuck-up. I’m still waiting for her to pick a non-diva song and see if she can just sing a pretty melody without the need to shout to the highest mountain.
*waves* Hi, I’m voting for Danny. I actually really like Danny’s voice. Just because you don’t personally like it doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other people who do.
I simply cannot understand Kris’ appeal. I can never remember what he sang. I also cannot understand the heartthrob title. For me, for him he has no sex appeal whatsoever. Also, I keep reading journalists reporting that this is the most talent group ever on AI. DO you guys agree? because apart form Adam who is indeed unique I think that both season 5 and 7 had a more talented group of singers.
Actually I can understand Kris’s appeal.
First Kris sings great.
Kris plays guitar and keyboards, plus other instruments.
Kris is cute.
Kirs is well liked because he has a great personalty as Paula said so.
Kris is a song writer and arranges music.
Kris is more current than others on the show.
Kris gave some of the best moments of this season.

to DJM…yeah, actually i can pick out allen’s voice over the radio/itunes. when he hits certain notes, there is a slight growl in his register, that makes his sound unique. and really, i doubt i can pick out other musicians that i like: jason mraz, killers, foo fighters, jack Johnson (maybe), kings of leon (probably). the give-away for any artist is usually the music/sound, not the voice. i can recognize britney spears in a second, doesnt mean its a good thing
no matter what anyone has to stay – Anoop is the best! yeah, he’s not as wierd as Adam Lambert, but he does have a voice as good as him or even better! isnt this a singing competition after all?
Even Adam Lambert finds Kris Allen cute.
