If they changed the actors/actresses they would loose the connection to the characters that Dan, Emma, Rupert, Bonnie, and Tom have with the characters. It definitly is NOT a stretch.

I just saw the movie and I thought it was totally plausible. Personally, I’ve been out of school for 18 years, and I’ve changed even less than they did, so I don’t know what the fuss is about. Some people just age differently.

I think that it’s way better for the same actors to play the older selves because as many people said Matthew Perry looks nothing like Zack Efron so what they are doing is smart

I know I will be a challenge but the Harry potter characters can pull it off. Plus they have had years of experience with how to play their characters. I can’t wait to see how it goes. Until then I will. E reading the books a eighth time!!!!

I think it’s brilliant. If the producers of Harry Potter can make Ralph Fiennes look like Voldemort, than I think they can pull of “aging” the trio. I like it better than finding their lookalikes.
