Do you guys think that Viacom bought most of their newer programming at “Bulk Rate”?
What I mean is, they show similar fare on all their networks!
Prime example (pun intended) is Nick at Night, which plays a program until viewers are ready to vomit, then they pass it down to their red-headed step child TV Land.
They did it with Cosby, they did it with Roseanne, and I heard The Nanny and George Lopez are coming to TVL.
Maybe the Stale Prince as well, who knows??
As for Roseanne being a ‘cheap’ show, I don’t think that a show that was the #1 most watched television in the entire United States in 1990, and stayed in the top 4 Nielsens for 6 seasons, and in the top 20 for 8 seasons would sell for cheap in syndication to any cable network.
