Perhaps you’ve seen the commercials. Or even read about it on this very site. Well, PopWatchers, I have seen the pilot of Fox’s new series Glee, which premieres May 19 after American Idol, and I am officially obsessed. I’ve watched it all the way through twice and have re-screened the performance numbers more times than I can count. It’s becoming a little ridiculous. I may have to join some kind of support group. The series, which centers around a outcast-filled high school glee club, completely won me over. But it’s the performance scenes that truly keep me coming back. My favorite is a cover of Journey’s "Don’t Stop Believin’." You’ll have to tune in on May 19 to see what I mean, but below is a promo that uses the song and some of the footage. Doesn’t it just fill you with, well, glee?

First of all, the fact that it stars Matthew Morrison, and has Lea Michele and Jane Lynch and is about CHOIR is reason enough.
But what really got me going was the show choir version of Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab.” DONE AND DONE.
Oh, and I love that part in the promo where the girl goes “I am Beyonce, NOT Kelly Rowland.” Bahahaha.
This show is produced by the one and only Ryan Murphy so it’s gonna be a must see. Plus Jessalyn Gilsig is in it whom I miss a lot on Nip/Tuck.
I am such a geek, but I so want this show to succeed, because it looks like my kind of show.
I have been playing this GLEE “Don’t Stop Believing” preview all the time since I saw it in the 2-hour American Idol show. I stopped watching American Idol and just re-wound that preview over and over again. I’m creepily, sadly obsessed with this show, and it will not stop. Truth Time, here? Lea Michele’s voice kind of makes me want to do a joy dance and cry all at the same time. God, she’s AMAZING!
I wasn’t obsessed until NOW! Hadn’t even heard of it, but I saw this article and checked it out. I loved Popular, and love a good musical, AND Lea Michele looks JUST like my niece–who is also named Rachel like Lea’s character in this show. Can’t wait!

Despite the fact that every time I watch this promo, I get “Don’t Stop Believing” stuck in my head for a full two weeks, I just can’t stop watching it. Guess I’m a glutton for punishment… or it’s just too amazing to stop.
I got chills just from the preview. I am super-psyched to see this show come May!
i’m just happy that there’s going to be another show on television that employs broadway actors besides law and order. kristen chenoweth and cheyenne jackson will both have supporting roles, and matthew morrison and lea michele are starring. now that pushing daisies is over, it’s all we have!
I’m also very curious about Glee. The promo looks great. I just hope Fox doesn’t ruin it.
I am so gay for this show, well I’m gay as well but the promos have seriously made me gay with glee.. A bit redundant huh.. Anywho, their rendition of amy winehouse’s rehab was stellar and their version of don’t stop believeing which is arguably one of the best songs of all time, not to mention seeing wendla from spring awakening which was my first musical I ever watched albeit with the San frrancisco cast who were all amazing, her voice is so moving in this promo, not to mention jane lynch who is a comedic genuis, not to mention Ryan murphy who also created the amazingly funny, equally gay “popular”, and the fact that I was in an all boys glee club in high school makes this the best tv event to grace the screens since.. well American idol.. Plus this country needs more uplifting shows like glee, American idol, Friday night lights to get us through the hardships of our lives..

i’m excited for this show too. it kind of remind me of some early 2000’s shows i liked, like Malcom in the Middle, Maybe It’s Me, and Ryan Murphy’s other show (which was cancelled way too soon) Popular.

I have watched this promo WAY too many times. I can’t get enough of it! (I’m kinda glad others (Im reading some of the comments below) have done the same). Seriously, even if the show sucked, the promo alone is now worth it.
