Facebook quizzes. I don’t usually take them, which made me happy when a colleague of mine issued a warning recently in her status update: "If you take more than three quizzes in a single day, you WILL be hidden from the news feed. For good." It’s not that I’m anti-quizzes (or fun), it’s that I’m opposed to clicking on things when I have no idea if they’ll be worth my time. So, let’s do each other a favor and list our Facebook quiz hits and misses.
The only one I’ve taken recently is "Which Joss Whedon character are you?", which I thought was lame until I came to terms with the fact that I am actually Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon, pictured). To paraphrase the results: I have a big heart. I’ll love my friends no matter what. I tend to be attracted to strange people, but they aren’t all bad. I’m not quite sure what I want to do when I grow up, but that’s okay….Of my fellow Buffy-fan friends who I know have taken the quiz, I’ve got a Buffy, a Willow, and a Giles — which I find oddly comforting. Like somehow, our Scooby Gang can get through anything, too.

I’m with your co-worker!! I can’t stand my homepage being all spammed up with application posts! Thankfully now you can hide just the application as opposed to banishing your friend. But one has to wonder about a friend who feels it necessary to post everything they do! (You can tell facebook not to post stuff, you know.) Haven’t taken the Whedon quiz though. May have to look that one up. I’m enjoying the TV show and 80s songs knowledge quizzes. Oh, and apparently I am Hurley from Lost.
I rarely take them, but my husband took the ‘Which Firefly Character Are You?’and was way too proud about the fact that it said ‘Mal’.

I am Hurley from Lost and Pam from the Office, oh, and the Sorting Hat placed me in the Ravenclaw house… I was most upset about that last one…I think I should be in Gryfendor!

What happened to being able to choose a single line to post quiz results instead of some mammoth thing that takes up half the screen? That would make everyone happier, I think.
Illyria/Fred … oddly disconcerting.
I was a little weirded out that I am Locke from “Lost,” Baltar from “BSG,” and if I were a Cylon, I would be Cavill. They have a lot in common if you think about it. I’ve now come to terms with the fact that I’m kinda crazy with a messiah complex.

but somehow, i’m buffy. i’m not going to lie – a little squeal of joy escaped my mouth when i saw my results. yes, i am *that* much of a dork.
If I were to take a quiz that told me I was Illyria from Angel I would jump for joy and start shouting about being God King of the universe and telling people they were Plankton envying the ocean. Just saying. Illyria pretty awesome.
Somehow, I am Willow. I actually (grudgingly) think I’m more of a Xander, and I’ve gotten everything from Buffy to Spike to Angel to Riley on these types of quizzes, so I guess I’ll never know who I really am.
