'Sarah Connor Chronicles': Did the finale leave you hanging?

Terminatorsarah0410_l1 SPOILER ALERT! Last night’s season finale of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles left more than a few plot points hanging tantalizingly over cliffs. Will mother and son ever see each other again now that John Connor (Thomas Dekker) has been time-warped into the post-apocalyptic future leaving Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) stuck in 2009? Is Catherine Weaver (Shirley Manson) actually a good cyborg after all? Why else would she morph into a liquid metal blast shield to save Sarah and John from that flying drone that came from…where? And what about Cameron (Summer Glau)? Did she really suspect a radiation leak in her chest or did she just want John Connor to feel her up?

Of course, the biggest question left unanswered last night is whether “Born to Run” was simply the end of the second season or the final curtain on the whole series. As they say in the Terminatorville, the future is not set, with Fox still undecided about bringing the show back for third run. We don’t know about you, but last night’s episode sure made us want to see more. When John time-jumps to the post-Judgment Day universe only to find Kyle and Derek in the smoking ruins, with Cameron there, too…well, we only hope that Terminator: Salvation will be as nifty a mind trip when it arrives on big screens next month (judging by the trailer that aired in the middle of last night’s episode, that looks like a distinct possibility). But what do you think, PopWatchers? Are you ready for a third season of TSCC?

Give me a 3rd season of TSCC or I will never buy another product that sponsors Fox. I love the show and it will be a shame to see it go.

I agree Fox was stupid to cancel the show i have so much questions and terminator has such a good story line.

If Salvation is a hit, I bet it comes back for a third season. There’s no doubt that Salvation is gonna make money.

I personally enjoyed the show. I thought the finele was awesowe and i do hope Fox brings the show back next fall. i am a big fan and i would like to see what happens next.

It’s my favorite show besides Kings. They are the only 2 network shows I watch.
I want to see more Lena Headley and Shirley Manson. It’s such a relieving dynamic to see strong women even if one is a cyborg. I have to watch Damages to see Patty Hewes, another fave but Damages is cable. The networks only think strong women can fit and apply to procedurial shows.
I want the show to stick around because it is different.

The show has gotten better and better lately… last night was really awesome. Shirley Manson is perfect for that role. I want more!!

LOVED the finale! Why can’t every episode of TTSC be that great?? I really hope they don’t kill off the show. Any one know how to write FOX and beg for season 3?

Definitely want a 3rd season but if that is the series finale, then I guess that is as close to closure as we can get. John is in the future now and will assume his role as leader of the resistance. But what becomes of Sarah back in our time? Left for us to discuss:
Where has John Henry gone? What is his purpose now? And what of the connection between Savannah and him with respect to ‘saving each other’ as Catherine alluded to last ep?
Why does Catherine Weaver want to destroy Skynet?
What about John Henry’s brother? Who is controlling the drone/HK that smashed into the building?
Also an effective ‘discomfort level’ achieved during the Cameron/John, uh, bedroom scene.

It wasn’t Cameron in the future it was Alison. ;)
I loved the ending and I would love another series.
I have to say the film looks awful and Christian Bale?! Really?! Anyone else please!
Hope we do get a third series but I don’t trust Fox one bit.

The series started out slow but has vastly improved. Part of the problem for sagging ratings was the move from Monday to Friday night. So Fox officials, please keep the show!

I definitely would like to see a 3rd season if it’s as well written as some episodes of the 1st and 2nd season.
To me, TSCC has really got the grip of *my* vision of the Terminator universe.
Bleak, despair, sadness, an un-avoidable tragedy looming upon mankind (oh the irony of those time travels !).
Be it the Terminator’s franchise “judgement day”, be it the alternate realities’ “end of the world as we know it” of Fallout or Mad Max, be it the shadow of real world’s WWIII stretching since the bomb was first dropped on Japan.
The first Terminator movie created this atmosphere, T2 had some nice moments about it, T3, sadly, only a glimpse (the first 5 minutes with John on his bike and the last 5 minutes in the vault).
To me TSCC really brought back the spirit of Terminator.
The writing -even in those confusing long story arcs, the acting and … that score !
Even if the series should stop now, I would say that so far, so good : TSCC is a nice little gem.

I really hope this show is spared the axe!
I have to re-watch it, but what was the returning blob of liquid terminator that rejoined with Catherine Weaver ? Could it have been in the drone that flew into the building? Another possible plot twist?

That was the eel that was living in that aquarium, if you watch it carefully it shows you. Remember that T-1001 can’t make complicated machines out of themselves, just “Sharp and stabbing equipments”
