We’ve already seen the High School Musical-alum-turned-17 Again star bring the chuckles with this week’s cameo-studded funnyordie.com skit "Zac Efron’s Pool Party." Now come the promos for his upcoming April 11 Saturday Night Live hosting gig, with resident goofballs Fred Armisen and Keenan Thompson. See below:

Well first of all, I didn’t think that the pool party vid was that funny. The only parts that I laughed at were from Justin Long underwater and Thomas Lennon. He didn’t really do anything funny in the video. As far as this goes, I’ll watch and see how it goes. But these promos aren’t funny. So please, being as kind as possible, stop saying that this is comedy gold. Cause it’s not. It’s repetetive advertising. With all respect.
Zac Efron = just another run-of-the-mill Hollywood pretty boy nobody will remember in five years. Yay.

zac may be funny but the other two from SNL definitely are not funny. SNL ceased being funny decades ago. funniest thing to hit SNL recently was tina fey & the sarah palin skits. GOLD! everything else sucks!
I enjoy Zach Efron, but I’m not sure that “Pool Party” thing was hilarious. Parts of it were funny, yeah, but the whole thing seemed like an excuse to get together a bunch of famous people. Inspired? Maybe not so much.
But I am pumped for him to host SNL. And the HSM 3 spoof with LeBron James is still my favorite. They can’t top that.
I’m embarrassed to admit I’m looking forward to the show. Zac Efron just seems like a nice person. Vanessa Hudgens though? Not a fan!

The last two promos were funny.
None of that was funny. The funny or die skit was horrible.
If any part of those skits was funny, it certainly wasn’t because of Zac Efron. He might be good, but I can’t really judge it based on these particular clips. He doesn’t really seem that funny though
