Hi Carrie Ann, I am asking this question for my entire dance studio because we talk about the show each week at class (www.tjdance.com). Who chooses the music the couples will dance to each week? We are so curious and I imagine you’ve answered this question before – but sometimes it is so “off”… Perhaps technically it fits the dance – but the poor dancers (the amateurs especially) The week that Lawrence and Edyta danced the Paso Doble – I couldn’t find the beat in the music for almost a minute! Yikes! Often – the pieces they choose seem right on – but often I just sit there and wonder… WHY?. Thanks for your great blog Carrie Ann! We so enjoy the show! Jayne Hancock TJ Dance Duvall, WA
Carrie Ann, you used the word fort for strength on Monday night’s show. You were corrected – but you were CORRECT. That word has worked into the pronunciation forte with an accent mark. But you know that is a musical term. You showed your intelligence and I loved it.
