Well, not much could’ve been worse than last week’s "Top Downloads" debacle, and thankfully, this week’s Songs That Give Us an Excuse to Show Contestants’ Baby Photos theme worked out a heckuva lot better. [West Coast readers beware: Lite and fluffy spoilers ahead!]
One happy development was that the two surviving members of last week’s bottom three performed remarkably well; better still, the judges didn’t mistake themselves for Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, Michael Kors, and Zac Posen, and stuck to a critique of Allison’s a-MAH-zing vocals, while leaving her rock-star frock alone. What’s more, at-risk crooner Matt Giraud stepped up his game, giving his best performance of the season — and almost the best of the night … until Adam Lambert took the stage, bathed in a glorious blue pimp light, and delivered a remarkable, haunting performance. All of which means Scott MacIntyre and Lil Rounds should (and most likely will) comprise the bottom two tomorrow night, with perhaps Kris Allen (le gasp), Danny Gokey, or maybe ‘Noop Dawg rounding out the troika of uncertainty for tomorrow night’s results show.

Please, everyone, vote for Kris. I know this was not a great night for him, but he cannot get kicked off before Scott!
Was Kris really that bad? I kind of liked it. I wasn’t into him in the semifinals, but more and more every week he’s turning into someone who I can imagine buying his cd and listening to it whenever I’m sick of my Jason Mraz cd, but want something kind of similar.
And my fave moment of the night was Adam’s dad talking about how when he was a kid, Adam was more into playing dress-up than sports! Awesome!
If Kris ends up in the bottom three or God forbid goes home, I will not be a happy camper. Just because of one off night? Come on people, Lil and Scott have been horrible for weeks!
Kris isn’t bad, but VFTW has people voting for Scott now…and Kris is very far behind according to dial idol. Unless a LOT of west coasters start voting, I think Kris fans are going to need a judge’s save tomorrow
I’ve been watching Idol since the first season, and this is the first time I’ve voted. For Kris…he CANNOT leave before Scott or Lil!!!

Yes, Kris was that bad. His song (or version of it) had like a THREE NOTE RANGE. It should be him or Scott tomorrow
Also, I thought Matt started out well, but got a little to uncontrolled (vocals and performance). I don’t quite get all the praise.
As for Kris, he was pretty bad, but doesn’t deserve to go home.
WTF? I came home, and my dvr cut off Adams performance!!!! I blame this entirely on the judges not being able to shut their idiot mouths. Dang.
Did the show run way long? My DVR cut me off before I even got to see Adam’s baby pics. No fair!
Adam did an incredible job tonight. He’s the best contestant to ever grace the Idol stage in all it’s years. He truely deserves not only the Idol crown, but a big fat recording contract and a career to last a lifetime. I bet that’s what he will get too.
I thought Anoop redeemed himself tonight too.
