Sorry. I know it’s a little creepy to make Silence of the Lambs references in an innocent American Idol post. Especially when it’s magical and marvelous Songs From the Year You Were Born Week! (Hurrah for people who were born in…gulp…1992!) But anyhow, while I take copious notes on tonight’s proceedings, you should feel free to fill up the comments section of this blog post with hot and tasty comments about tonight’s Idol telecast. ugh how could the judges lavish so much praise on that nasally danny gokey performance? my poor ears barely made it through that!
Wow, I really like Kris, but didn’t really enjoy that performance. Didn’t like the arrangement.
Kris was vanilla and boring.
Lil is decent.
I’m not really a fan of any of them performing on the small side stage surrounded by screaming ‘fans’. Didn’t work for Matt last week, not working for Kris this week.
Danny sounded like a star…performer on a Carnival cruise.
Danny sounded like elevator music, horrible arrangement. Kris is my favorite but not his best performance, lil was terrible.
Funny how they told Lil to take a song and make it her own and when Kris did that just before they told him he was self indulgent. They make no sense.

I think Paula makes up her critiqes beforehand, like at the rehearsals or something. She sounds waaay too put together…

Allison needs more personality? I seem to recall that the season 4 winner was sadly lacking in personality too. She’s doing okay now.
