Homer Simpson is about to go postal, and for once, Bart’s neck will not feel his wrath. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the U.S. Postal Service will immortalize Springfield’s first family on five 44-cent first-class mail stamps to honor the show’s 20th season. An unveiling is scheduled for April 9.
I’ve never been much of a philatelist, but you can bet I’ll be hoarding stamp-sized Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie with the mouth-breathing fervor of Comic-Book Guy. But why so stingy, Mailman? Just five stamps? There are literally dozens of Springfield characters to honor. Personally, I demand that my income tax return is delivered with a C. Montgomery Burns stamp. In addition, throw in stamps for Disco Stu, Cletus the Slackjawed Yokel, Mayor Quimby, and yes, the late-great Frank Grimes, and I promise not to release the hounds.
How about you, PopWatchers? What other characters from the Springfield universe deserve a stamp?

This one is lovely. Ever saw this one’s profile on —– WealthyRomances com —– , just for millionaire & celebrities.
Ralph Wiggum needs his own stamp. This must happen in my lifetime!
C. Montgomery Burns def deserves one. As do, in my opinion, Kent Brockman and Lindsay Naegle.
Definitely Mr. Burns, Smithers, Ralph, Moe, Barney, Professor Frink, Bobo the teddy bear even! Can there just be a stamp for everyone in the Springfield universe? There is nothing better than the Simpsons.
Have to have Apu, Lionel Hutz, Troy McClure, Disco Stu and Grampa Simpson! I agree with Steph – can’t each Simpson character get their own stamp?!
One-Eyebrowed Baby!
Ralph is a given but I’d also like to see a Bumblebee Man or Linguo!
Ralph Wiggum of course!
I agree with the Ralph Wiggum sentiment, but only if he facing away from the stamp.
Ned Flander should have a stamp. Yes indeedily, the awesomeness that is Flanders must be recognized.
Lionel Hutz or Troy McClure! Pay tribute to the simpsons and phil hartman!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crazy Cat Lady and all of her Cats.
Sideshow Bob! I’d even settle for a Crusty/Sideshow Bob combo. And Comic Book Guy.
Ralphie. It would be funny.
Martin Prince is my favorite, but I would also like to see Itchy & Scratchy, or Homer with hair from the flashback episodes.
