I think that Entourage is deserving of this award. It consistently captures a cynical materialistic attitude that one would expect to find in Hollywood. Also, it is one of the most addicting shows I have watched which is probably due to the characters. As for those that think that Entourage is fluff compared to all the rest: lighten up it’s just TV.

Entourage peaked years ago, Every season Vince tries to “make it”, and every time season he fails in some anti-climactic setup. Drama was the best thing going, but he’s been reduced to a one-dimensional farce, and Ari has alwaysalwaysalways been overrated. At its best, it is light- hearted fun. At its worst, its misogynistic and homophobic, a man-boy fantasy chock full of ridiculous cars, easy women and free money for any slacker with a famous friend to leech off.

i was actually a little surprised to see that entourage won a peabody, i was expecting it to go to big bang theory or how i met your mother.

The West Wing, yes. Masterpiece Theater, sure. Even Mad Men. But Entourage? It sounds like this nomination was made a couple of seasons back and the Peabody judges had a last-minute slot to fill, so they gave it the nod.
