I saw this promo Friday during “Sarah Connor” – I hit rewind just to watch it again. Fantastic! I haven’t watch House all season but I will def. be watching tonight.
Wow, Ken Levine’s got some kind of ego. The first one to show a medical procedural from a patient’s perspective? How about Johnny Got His Gun, which was made into a movie in 1971 and based on a book written well before then? That’s not just a war movie/V.A. movie, it’s exclusively through the eyes of the patient.
Maybe the show is an homage to that movie? That’s would be like Sean Connery claiming that all James Bond actors are playing an homage to a character he created (even though Bond was an Ian Fleming created literary character for a decade before Connery made “Dr. No”). For the record, Connery has never made such a claim
Looking at the trailer, it looks like more of an homage to The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Considering that that was far more recent, that seems much more likely to me.
Mos Def should have been nominated for an Oscar for his work in 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis. If the movie had found a bigger audience, he may have been nominated.
It’s nights like this that make me sooooo glad I have two DVRs. I’ll watch House live, and record Chuck, HIMYM, and repeats of the East Coast feed of My Boys (new episodes start tomorrow!!!!).
MMMMmmmm, I liked MASH, like 25 years ago! Sorry, but House can do no wrong, they’ll make the show unique, so I’ll be watching. Who says different shows can’t explore the same condition, anyway?
This episode was very good, easily one of the best in quite a while. I hadn’t seen Mos Def in anything for a while, and he was great in tonight’s episode. As for the “homage” to “M*A*S*H” … so what? It doesn’t qualify as a stolen idea.
i thought is it was just ok..ER did way better with Cynthis Nixion.
Def did a great job.. it waw the writting and having those ‘talks’ on the beach. really ham-handed and dumb.
I have lost interest in House the last season or two.. i thought at first it was when the orginal 3 doctors ‘left’ and he got replacements (whom are less annoying now) but it started with the cop story that it jumped the shark for me.
i’m with lee. mos def should have been nominated for 16 blocks. i watched it because it had bruce in it and had never heard of mos def. he was brilliant! it has become one of my favorites because of his performance.
