You may be missing the point here. Those companies that are subject to government takeover and restructuring are NOT the companies that are currently reaping the benefits of success. It’s the companies that are floundering that are going to Washington and asking for a bailout. And if any of these companies are going to be getting my taxpayer money, I would hope that my government is going to (at least) ensure that they are spending it wisely, or, if necessary, implement a good business model that generates wealth. The previous two “stimulus” plans were essentially just giveaways with NO accountability.
I think everyone’s worried about spending an additional 3.6 trillion dollars to rejuvenate our economy. But I trust that money in the hands of the current administration much more than I would the previous one.

I did not vote for him and i would not still not because he is black i have no problem with that. I think he is alot of hot air I have lost my entire stock account and my retirement in the past three months and it is not getting better only worst he is the one who said i can do it.

Once again, Chris, you are missing the point. Income taxes are only part of the picture. You say it is not fair for the top earners to pay more in income taxes because they already pay so much more than everyone else. But they do NOT pay so much more than everyone else in total taxes. They get off pretty well and have WAY more disposable income than lower earners. But you refuse to see that, don’t you? And that’s why you want to take your ball and go home, saying we should agree to disagree. The numbers are on my side of the argument and you do not like it.
