If you remember the book correctly, Max screams in it, a lot.. that was part of the appeal of the wild things.. to do whatever he wanted. To the idiot who wrote this article, do your research, and the poster is wondrous. I can’t wait for it to come out!
There’s nothing creepy about this poster, and I never found the story scary as a kid. Fun and whimsical is very different than creepy and scary.
I love Where the Wild Things Are! I had no idea they were making a movie. It’s about time! Can’t wait to see it and I’m a mom with a teen daughter!
People thought this book was scary? Really???
great poster!
Maurice Sendak always said the book was about a little boy who was mad at his mother.
can’t wait to see it =D
im most deff. bringing all my lil cousins and friends because this book and the giving tree was my fav
I agree with the people on here that think the author, Tanner Stransky, is off base. Max is clearly being a “wild thing” in the poster just like in the book. Don’t write an article if you have no clue what you are talking about or fail to do the simple research it takes to capture a captivating children’s book.
I know this movie was a battle for Jonze and thank god Warner did not do a lame reshoot with a different director. I think this is going to be a gem, cant wait for October.
Yes I agree with Sophs, the author of this article clearly is not that perceptive. My guess is he’s screaming and being a “wild thing”, and how you thought other how is beyond me.
