Lotor from Voltron
Ashram from Record of the Lodoss War
Aion from Chrono Crusade
Sark from Alias
Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty
Darth Vader
And if video games are acceptable, Ganon/Ganondorf from the Legend of Zelda series and Kefka from Final Fantasy VI (sorry Sephiroth…you’re pretty to look at but that’s about it)
Lucy van Pelt, while not your traditional villain she radiates coldness and is without a doubt evil persona fide.
a few that deserve mentioning :
Charles Rane from Passenger 57
Richie Madano from Out for Justice
William Trannix from Under Siege
Travis Dane from Under Siege 2
Clu Haywood from Major League
Warden Norton from Shawshank
Sack Lodge from Wedding Crashers
Ivan Drago from Rocky IV
Harry Waters from In Bruges
Sherrif of Nottingham from Robin Hood:
Prince of Thieves
The Fratellis from Goonies
Galactus aka Hungorus, (in Duck Dogers). Loves to eat entire planets when he gets hungry and he gets hungry a lot.
I hope one day he’s shown in a big screen movie as something else other than a “cloud”, (the most recent Fantasic Four movie).
and props to the Kiefer Sutherland in Freeway nomination. Underrated flick.
Okay, I’ll say the usuals: Joker, Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine. But I’ll add Lex Luthor and Dr. Doom. Both awesome villains.
Okay, I’ll say the usuals: Joker, Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine. But I’ll add Lex Luthor and Dr. Doom. Both awesome villains.
My Top Five:
1) Darth Vader-A general who goes into battle with his troops. Plus he can crush your neck with his thoughts.
2) Ming the Merciless- A ruthless and tyranical ruler of the universe. Max Von Sidow’s version is my favorite.
3) The Terminator, Aliens and Predator- I see strong similarities in all three so they’re lumped together.
4) Baltar from the original Galactica- a comic book villain who you just love to hate.
5) Dr. Evil- Ten words say it all: Sharks with friggin’ laser beams coming out of their heads
BEN LINUS
The Joker
Maleficent
Hannibal Lecter
Freddy Kruger
Voldemort
Saruman
Ok…. who ever you are?? You are AWESOME!!! Nobody ever gives Freddy Kruger any credit…. and your the only one that I agreed with completely…. the other post I always disliked at least one… but yours was PERFECT!!! =D
Wow, this was so much easier than the hero querrie.
Here Goes
Cartoon: Maleficent(Gorgeous & Scary)
Comic:Lex Luthor
Book: Voldemort
Movie:Darth Vadar and the Emperor
Play: Iago(Othello)What a Jerk.
After reading this list I also second the idea for a special Bond Category due to the overwhelming number of baddies Like Goldfinger, Blofeld, Jaws, Catanga and nic nac, the list is endless! Besides, whose baddies have been more parodied than the Bond franchise.
Ben Linus.
Vader, Sauron, The Joker (Heath Ledger version), Gollum, Arnold’s Terminator first movie of course.
Rita Repulsa from the original Power Rangers. Nothing is more terrifying than a woman who wears an elaborate croissant atop her head whilst somehow saying words that her mouth is not forming.
Honorable mention: Zorn from The Fifth Element. What’s not to love (to hate) about a megalomaniac who makes deals with alien mercenaries and the devil himself just for a share of the profits?
The Emperor from Star Wars…purely evil and corrupt beyond measure.
Khan from Star Trek…arrogant and vengeful. A leathal combination.
The Joker…The Heath Ledger version is a pure psychopath.
Voldemort…He’s hard to capture on the movie screen, but in the books he is pretty scarey.
Lex Luthor (Smallville)…ruthless, intelligent, paranoid, damn rich…did I mention ruthless?
The Borg Queen (Star Trek)…She controls billions and billions of space zombies with the scariest tag line ever “Prepare to be assimilated! Resistence is futile!!”
