Help! I can’t make up my mind about Adam. When I’m looking at him, he’s great. When I’m not looking (just listening), I want to turn my ipod off. When he’s 10 feet away, I think he’s the handsomest goth-hunk. But in the closeups, his thick foundation and visible lipgloss icks me out. LOL. He’s a nice guy though – just I wish he’d go easy on the makeup.
Somehow, I’m don’t think Matt, Michael, or Anoop will have any problems tomorrow. They all have voices that are perfect singing ballads, so I feel like they are going to be the strongest 3. Also, I heard Anoop’s version of “Walking in Memphis” today, from when he was in high school with his acapella group (which I guess he founded). His voice sounds amazing. WOW. Okay, I get it… he has a gift with harmonizing melodies. This week, I think if he figures out that his voice can stand on its own, without the back-up singers (because I think they suck and make all the songs they sing sound a little karaoke), he’ll be fine.
If you want to know what they can sing, go to the link at votefortheworst.com that has the full list. 27 singers and only 64 songs. If only “Take This Job and Shove It” was an option. Then again, this is why Brent, Kristen McNamara or Kendall Beard didn’t get a Wild Card chance. Meanwhile, did you read about Ricky Braddy back home? Great homecoming news that AI really blew.
P.S. Can you get the writers in your latest issue that commented on the order of the Top 12 to get screen time on Idolatry? Have Michael Ausiello pass as Von Smith.
@ wg:
I’m sorry, if you don’t call Tom Cochrane’s original version of Life is a Highway a “hit” then your delusional. The original has WAY more lasting power, and was a bigger hit in it’s day than Rascal Flatt’s version. Just because theirs got extra exposure because Disney used it in a movie does not make the song theirs.
Just for the record, Tom Cochrane’s version made it to #6 on the Hot 100, while Rascal Flatt’s only made it to 7. Too bad you must not be old enough to remember that.
And to counter your other point, Whitney may have gotten more exposure for her version of I Will Always Love You, but Dolly’s was better. Dolly’s had raw emotion, Whitney’s was just an excuse for bombast. Ask people who are old enough to remember Dolly’s version, or who have actually seen the movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and most of them will agree that Dolly’s was way more emotional and had far more feeling.
Slezak, I don’t care the hating on Adam. Watch him win and then you have to interview him and you pretend that you were always a fan. This week should be an important week. You like Kris over everyone? Seriously? I think it’s going to be Matt and Adam (or Adam and Alexis) in the finale. Eat your words, Slezak. You’re getting very tiresome.
Absolutely, I think Adam, Alexis and Matt- not necessarily in that order. And I never plan to watch Hollywood Week again by the way…
I think Kris Allen has a good chance to shine this week too, he can use his guitar. As long as he doesn’t become to attatched to it. Megan too, she’s got a country-bumpkin feel to her.
Sorry Adam suffers from theatreitis. If anyone watched Rockstar INXS we had 2 Adams, Mig Ayesa and Ty Taylor, the latter who has dueted with Adam.
Would I pay to see Adam on Broadway in an ensemble cast? Sure.
Would I buy an album or watch a ninety minute concert of that voice? No. Not what I have heard so far.
I can’t explain why his voice bothers me, it might be better suited to sing lead for Motley Crue or Guns n Rose possibly. AC/DC?
I really like Anoop but if he doesn’t step up his game he will be in trouble this week.
You have no business commenting on anyone’s actions with regard to losing a spouse unless you have been through it. You don’t have a clue about what you are saying. Try losing a spouse then come back and make your comments about Danny pimping his wife.
I just want you to know how much I enjoy watching your videos. I agree with almost everything you say and it is fun to hear the people who call in also. I don’t think you are disrespectful in the least, I think if people put themselves out for the public to see, they have to expect some judgments. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to every week!
Adam Lambert is obviously the favorite. Even when he does do bad, he still gets the votes because he’s CUTE TALENTED and girls love him. As for the Star Spangled Banner thing he did, yes, it was a bit disrespectful, but people won’t care!! Danny is good, but people will tire of him after a while. Kris needs to go, his voice is bland. So does Megan, ohhhhh she annoys me to no end. In the finales?? Adam for sure. Love that guy.
