People.com is quoting a story from the U.K.’s Sun newspaper, which says that Slumdog Millionaire breakout beauty Freida Pinto has reportedly been in talks to appear in the next James Bond movie. So, with all those qualifiers about the report’s veracity in place, I have just one question: Good idea or bad idea? I didn’t get much of a feel for the 24-year-old actress in Slumdog Millionaire, since she didn’t have many lines in the film; certainly, she’s easy on the eyes. Then again, that sounds just like the classic Bond girl: very pretty and doesn’t say very much. What do you think?

Unfortunately, I haven’t seen Slumdog yet, but based on this photo, I’m all for it. She’s extremely hot, and that’s what we’re after in a Bond babe.

i think that’s a great idea. She’s extremely good-looking (much prettier than the last two Bond girls) and it’s a hell of a lot better than having jennifer aniston being a Bond girl, who has expressed interest in becoming one. That would’ve been a disaster (i.e. Denise Richards)
Freida will do it to up her profile. Bond girls have to look good but don’t require much acting ability. Hey, that means Jennifer Aniston only qualifies on the acting ability. Gotta agree with Dan, she would be horrendous.

She’s already denied that rumor multiple times. She never auditioned or had a screen test for anything and has no idea where the rumor came from. Great research EW.

Her pics outside of Slumdog are very sexy. It all depends on how they would write her character. After the dour Quantum of Solace, it’s Bond’s direction that needs a re-think.
