Today is 3/14, so at 1:59, raise a glass and toast your favorite math teacher. Or something irrational. Or something Greek. Or Darren Aronofsky.
In honor of the special math holiday, here’s the greatest pie-lover I can think of: Agent Dale Cooper.
Math it up, fuzzball! What will you toast to today?

Jaime Escalante from “Stand and Deliver”!
Pie lover? Keri Russell in ‘Waitress’! Come to think of it…Andy Griffith in ‘Waitress’.
“Diane…lunch was $6.25 at a place called the Lamplighter Inn. That was a tunafish sandwich on whole wheat, a slice of cherry pie and a cup of coffee. Damn good food! Diane, if you’re up this way, that cherry pie is worth the stop.”
“9:13, Personal note: When I was a little kid my mother told me not to stare into the sun. So once when I was six, I did. At first the brightness was overwhelming, but I had seen that before. I kept looking, forcing myself not to blink, and then the brightness began to dissolve. My pupils shrunk to pinholes and everything came into focus and for a moment I understood. The doctors didnt know if my eyes would ever heal. I was terrified, alone in that darkness. Slowly daylight crept in through the bandages, and I could see, but something else had changed inside of me. That day I had my first headache.”
Man, I miss Twin Peaks when it was still on top of it’s game. That was a good show. It’s a shame what happened to it.
