Okay, I’m done talking about Coach. For now anyway, let’s turn ourattention to Stephen and one of my favorite quotes of this episode: Ext. Read the full post.

We went from Episode 4 of Jeff’s blog to Episode 6 …. did I miss something?
JEFF: You didn’t mention the awesome Reward Challenge (spin ‘em ’til they’re dizzy, then make ‘em walk across a twisted balance beam). That was one of the more entertaining Survivor challenges in recent memory …. BRAVO!
Nor did you mention Stephen’s fake-sounding reaction when he was picked for Exile (it came across like he was trying to PRETEND he was surprised). It caught my ear and made me cringe thinking that he may have opened a few eyes to the whole Exile alliance thing – Anyone else hear it?. Anyway, no lip outta me about Stephen, he’s my pick from before day one (he reminds me of me). I don’t think hes gay, nor do I care.
I had to laugh when JT lost his tooth and Jeff said “.. Aww ..”.
JEFF: be honest, was that an “.. Aww, too bad, tough break, get over it ..” comment or was it an “.. Aww jeez, now we gotta re-shoot the scene ..” comment or was it an “.. Aww, gross ..” comment? Spill it Jeff !!!
Ahh, I see we are back to Episode 5 blog …. goooood!
Hi Jeff,
You were right about this gang. After you get rid of the distractions, unfortunately you have to start getting id of your attractions. I know, poor grammar. Anywho, Poor Spencer, I wished he could have stayed a little longer. There really isn’t any reason to come out but I wonder if that’s what JT didn’t trust about him…because he’s hiding “something”? Too bad he didn’t make any plan B’s…Gotta have plan B’s!! Not hating on Steven , yet, but he better not snake that Idol from Taj (sigh) but, hey, that would be one person to dislike when it’s hard to pick them this season. On to Timbira, yay for Erin and Sierra escaping another TC..I’d hate to see them leave after Spencer..Debbie can go next, just because she’s against my girls. Oh, and she can take coach with her. I love Erin’s little videos…she’s a crack up!!! C U in 3!!!
On Stephen – I’m going with b) limited experience with women. Look at the kid – looks like he stepped off the set of ‘Revenge of the Nerds’.
How many times does the staff test the challenges? It would have seemed to me that if they spun them slower…as in pull the rope out slower…the person on the turntable could have run down the the balance beam. All in all…a very cool challenge. Still my favorite was the roll the barrel, float the barrel, dig the ax, cut the rope in Cook Islands.
Hey Jeff, maybe we could give hard-working best producer Daren a break…by never doing a clip show. Trust me, no one would miss it.
LOOOVE the recap, sounds different with special scenes, hope we get a season preview and some extra intro shot scenes. Sets up the rest of the season.
Oh Probst when you put that tooth in your pocket it cemented your status as best reality host ever. Would Seacrest do that? I think not!
Jeff: I think Stephen is one of the most sophisticated and subtle players in the game…. This guy could go deep.
Me: That’s what she said!!
(Sorry, I couldn’t resist. I think I have a problem.)
UUuuuggghhhhhh. Sorry, Jeff, I’m sure y’all worked REALLY hard, but no – we HATE the clip shows. (And come on – all it is is a placeholder, to stretch the season out another week. I’d rather have an extra contestant on the show, and an extra vote-out week.)
3. Stupid Sprint ads 2/3 of the way through the show: “Vote for the Survivor who changed the game” with three Survivor faces, basically telling you who was NOT voted out. When they showed Taj’s photo among the three, you instantly knew that Stephen was going home. Thanks for ruining the show… every single time… What’s next, Sprint ads halfway through murder mysteries, asking you to vote on which clue revealed that so-and-so did the crime? God, why hasn’t anyone stopped these show-destroying ads yet?
2. When producers manipulate the game. It leaves an awful taste in your mouth. What’s the point of watching the rest of the season? Why not just watch pro wrestling?
1. Recruited contestants who don’t care about the show. When Survivor picks its contestants from the streets, cafes, and unemployed actors within four blocks of their studio, it ruins the whole concept of the show… remember that? The idea of “Who survives best in the wild?” (continued)
(#1 continued…)
We want the big-city doctor versus the small-town farmer, not (for example) the 9 or 10 California contestants on Cook Islands. It also insults those who keep watching the show when Survivor essentially says (a la Groucho Marx), “We don’t want anybody on the show who is loser enough to apply for it.” That’s why Survivor keeps humiliating itself with moments like the finale of Fiji, when the winner announced on live TV that he had never watched or been interested in Survivor before he was cast, or when (during Fans v. Favorites), none of the four remaining women knew the answers to any of the questions about past Survivor seasons. Who is stupid enough to destroy their own show in this way? Why put people on the show who don’t respect it?
Hi Jeff! Good show last night. I really enjoyed the reward challenge and your comment about how “it looks like the end of a bad friday night” when they were all dizzy, lol. Spencer seems like a good kid, but I’m glad Taj stuck around. I’m hoping this cross tribe alliance plays out. I dread March Madness every year because it interupts the Survivor schedule–not being on, having to remember to watch on Wed, clip shows–you get the drift. Thanks for the great blogs Jeff!
NOOOOOOOO….clips episode…..noooooo. It’s gotten to the point where I watch these clips episodes in FFWD on my DVR.
Jeff, as Barney Stinson would say- you are lengen-wait for it-dary.
But seriously dude, what is with the Coach love? Correct me if I’m wrong but he failed to predict the weather..he announced it would pass them, then BAM the storm’s right on ‘em. Coach is a moron, funny how he is never shown during the challenges *coughbecausehesuckscough* I will admit it thought- he’s just the entertainment we need on tv, but he sobetter not win.
Go JT/Brendan/Sierra! My favs! I also like Taj & Stephen, but the first 3 are who I am rooting for ’till the end!
