While the jury may still be out on Nathan Fillion’s new cop-mystery series Castle after its cutesy debut last night on ABC, there’s no arguing that he can be pants-wettingly hilarious when given the right material. No, we’re not talking about Serenity, or Waitress, or Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. We’re talking about an awesome little satirical skeleton in his closet called Nailing Your Wife — part of series of PG-Porn Web videos directed by Hollywood screenwriter James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead).
Obviously, we’ve been underestimating Fillion’s comedy chops all these years. Check out our (slightly NSFW) clip of the day and see if you agree that this guy needs to host SNL, stat!

Sure, I’ll second a hosting shot for him. There have only been three memorable (for good reasons) episodes this season for me.
He NEEDS to host SNL. I think he’s at his best when not on script. All the commentaries and backstage stuff I’ve heard him in is always hilarious.
p.s. Did not see that ending coming, that was pretty freaking funny.

That clip was very funny. I’m not surprised in the least. Anyone who listened to the Commentary! musical from Dr Horrible knows how scathingly hilarious he is. Get him to SNL right away.

LOL that was funny, might have made me laugh more if they had someone show up dressed like David Caruso complete with the oh so cliche removal of the sunglasses. Still Nathan Fillion is hiliarious.

Anyone who has seen Nathan at a con (which, unfortunately, is not me, other than YouTube videos) knows that he’s hilarious off-the-cuff. I don’t know that I’d want him to have to be subjected to the stupid stuff that the SNL writing staff usually comes up with.
