I just started watching FNL on Netflix…I can’t believe I missed it when it started. Season 1 was AWESOME…so captivating..Scott you did a wonderful job portying Jason..You were believable…I am sure you are long gone onto other things..Can’t wait to see more of your work!

I just wanted to thank Scott Porter for this incredible blog. I finally got to watch Jason Street’s last episode last night (we have a 10 month old son so don’t get to watch TV on time like we used to). My husband and I are so lucky to have found this show and to have fallen in love with the characters. I will miss Jason Street so much, but what an incredible final episode. My husband almost lost it in your final scene when you held your baby. Wow. Just powerful stuff. Scott, I hope you watch your final episodes soon. You outdid yourself. Beautiful, beautiful work. I can’t wait to see more of your acting in the future.

Scott-Thank you for sharing your experience as you departed FNL. How bittersweet it was to read. I have loved this show and 6 since day one. It must be surreal for you to have complete strangers feel like they know you personally but I also think it’s a compliment. The brilliance in which you portrayed Jason Street made him an Everyman. In doing so, you made him so accessible to the viewer. Kudos to you for making us feel like we could be Jason’s friend. I also appreciate your graciousness in describing your colleauges work. Such a gifted cast (Love-love Klye and Taylor). FNL won’t be the same without your beautiful Street and I thank you for bringing him to life. I hope NBC allows the little show that could…and did, to enjoy many more seasons. If you get the time, you really ought to watch your episode. It was perfection. Texas Forever.

I have absolutely loved the Jason Street character and love the happy ending that they gave him. Scott Porter is a terrific actor and deserves more roles worthy of his talent. I really thought of him first as the new Kirk in the Star Trek remake. He was great in Speed Racer. I am with Friday Night Lights till the end and will keep watch for Scott in future roles. Thank you for a great character and brilliant work.

I just want to thank you.
My wife and I worked a lot as extras in season 2 and got to meet you and the rest of the cast and I must say that everyone on that show was incredibly nice to us.
The shoots were a lot of fun, even those long nights at the games.
My fondest memory was being at Street’s birthday party shoot at that house in North Austin. That rainy night was a lot of fun and it was great to be that close to the action and all of the cast. We actually made into the show from that one and it is something I will never forget.
My brother, who works as one of the DJ’s at Common Interest, has told me stories of you coming in a lot to sing karaoke at the club and he is quite fond of you and your singing.
Bravo on bringing that character to us.
Well done and we will miss you. I really hope you can come back to the show at some point to let us know how
Street and family are getting along.
And as a native of Austin Texas let me finish by saying Texas Forever.

Scott,
Thank you so much for this articulate review, your character, your honesty. I know we will be hearing more from you. You had the most touching scenes in the entire show, and that is really saying something given how good the surrounding acting performances were.
I am reminded of the moment when Wendell said to your character: “There’s no one like you Jason.” I would like to say that there is no one like you, Scott Porter.
You guys really did catch lightning in a bottle. Moved me to tears when I really needed it in my life. Like right now, after reading your post.

You had me in tears watching your character evolve and find his heart’s happiness, and I welled up again reading your beautiful blog here.
