I’ll reserve judgement only because Dustin Lance Black is the writer. Still, the trailer does look pretty lame. None of these actors remotely resemble any of the real life players. The guy who plays Puck is ATTRACTIVE!!! He looks like a CW pretty boy instead of the ugly pig we all know the real Puck was. Why not an amazing Season 3 REAL WORLD DVD package with extras, new interviews and tons of Pedro footage we’ve never seen before?? This just looks like another attempt by MTV to cash in on someone else’s misery.

I watched this film yesterday as many of you did.I was very disappointed in the way the movie was handled.I felt this was barely a step above a high school production.I was raised in a gay community,by gay family members of which one has been hiv+ since the early 80′s and is still alive and healthy to this day.I felt that MTV had a chance to make a touching & thought provoking movie and they did not.I was 22 in ’94 and for the 1st time in my life,there was someone on TV that I could relate to.I was glued to the set.I was thrilled when they decided to “re-tell” Pedro’s story.Well,they did a piss poor job of this.There was no emotion,minimal education factors and not too mention very poorly acted.I have not read Judd’s book,but will now.Young people need to be educated to learn how to protect themselves and love themselves enough to know they are worthy of true love and protection.Promiscuous or not,there is a story that needs to be told,with the honor that Pedro deserves.
