I hate it when EW posts stuff like this. This is not entertainment news, it’s a pathetic whine begging reader to make a print journalism relevent. EW.com is not a blog! Stop treating it like one and post some entertainment news for once!
jeffery dean morgan, and Jackie Earle Haley will be unforgettable
i love how barely anyone has respected haly’s performance as rorschach. he is literally the drawing come to life. yes i think all of them did very well in this. jackie earle haley really stands out, i really look forward to his wrk in the future.
I am sooo glad to see Jackie Earle Haley back and his is a good performance here.. He should be the breakout, but hmmm. Patrick Wilson is overdue also.. what to do, what to do?? lol
Jackie Earle Haley blew . . . me . . . away. He was amazing. I couldn’t picture him as that freckle faced redhead, but the make up was stellar too. I’m probably about to get flamed, but I’m going to say it anyway. The only reason Jackie Earle Haley isn’t being compared to Heath Ledger is because – compared to the Joker, not many people know who Rorschach is. Seems like we’re in the Age of the Comeback, so I’m rooting for him big time.
Malin Akerman will be the breakout star. She’s done the most publicity, and is the female face of the movie. A gorgeous face at that. Reminds me of Kate Hudson. When the dvd comes out, she’ll be even bigger.
The CW marketing department is full of fools. If they had any sense, they would market the hilt out of the fact that all three actors playing the Winchesters on Supernatural have starred in movies that have been #1 or #2 this year – Jensen Ackes in My Bloody Valentine in January, Jared Padalecki in Friday the 13th in February, and now Jeff Morgan with Watchmen in March.
But they haven’t mentioned a thing.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan will become the biggest star. No doubt about it. He’s got the talent AND the sexass.
HAUNTED
The School of Jeffrey Dean Morgan
This movie boasts some serious talent all across the board but Jeffrey Dean Morgan knows how to be a real thespian and still finesse the media with the right charm. He’s got the broadest appeal and can take on a wider range of roles than the others (not that I don’t like the others, they all did a great job). He’s not afraid to stretch for the unexpected so he’ll be able now to do a blockbuster next to an indie and not lose a step in the process. He’s also got a uniqueness to him while still being someone you could feel perfectly at ease with at a backyard cookout. THAT’s what makes a great character actor a full fledged star.
Should be big star: Jackie Earle Haley. Who doesn’t love an antihero? Plus JEH makes the ultimate comeback.
Will be big star: Malin Akerman. Being the few women in the film and she kicks ass.
Malin Akerman is beautiful, no doubt. But her acting isn’t the greatest and she reminds people of too many other Hollywood A-Listers to really come into her own.
I also agree with the comment about Patrick Wilson’s turn in ‘Little Children’. Keep in mind he had to put on weight for his role as Nite Owl, but at his normal weight he’s hot. Haha. He has the most leading man appeal to him. I think he’s the most versatile, and a gifted actor at that.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is always gonna be playing this same, roguish type of guy. I don’t think he’s very versatile at all.
Malin Akerman is hot. And usually naked. Got to love Swedish chicks.
More nude Malin please.
