I’m converting my office. From now on it’s the Vote Jim Parsons campaign headquarters to get the Big Bang Theory star an Emmy nomination. After watching last night’s paintball-ignited war between Sheldon (Parsons) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco), how can anyone doubt his worthiness?
Parsons’ Sheldon is the geek to shame all geeks, socially inept on levels most humans don’t realize exists — and undoubtedly the writing helps shape that. But Parsons has skills most don’t. He can turn Sheldon from insufferable to pitiable in a nanosecond, has a rapid-fire delivery that would have most of us tripping over our tongues, and even possesses a touch of the genius Bill Irwin’s gift for physical comedy. And if you were a Judging Amy fan and remember him as her Spanish-speaking, anal retentive, post-Donna clerk, Rob Holbrook, then you know his chops on Big Bang aren’t a fluke. The guy’s always been funny.
Plus, there’s Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock, which I know your friends have forwarded to you a million times, and I’ll totally make you sit through again because it is YouTube awesomeness.

Nod, Yes. Win, Definitely! The whole show should get a slew of noms, from other awards besides the Emmy’s. Tired of the same ole shows every year. Spice it up!!
I will totally help you with the Jim Parsons Emmy campaign! He’s the reason I’m hooked on Big Bang and the show would be a bore without him. The only person who poses a challenge to him is Neil Patrick Harris, but HIMYM has been slipping this year. In a matchup between Sheldon and Barney, I’d put my money on Sheldon.

I’m sorry, I love Parsons and TBBT, but until Friday Night Lights gets recognized by Emmy voters, I have a personal ban on the event. How that show, or it’s lead actors Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton, have not been at least nominated is a travesty. The Emmy process is a joke.
I don’t know. Because FNL sucks? No one wants to watch a pretentious drama about a bunch of small town hicks obsessed with whether a bunch of hormonal teenagers scores a touchdown. The single most overrated show on television by a wide, wide margin.

My son loves the addition of Lizard and Spock and makes us do it all the time. Me and my husband being old fuddy duddies are probably being duped, since he always seems to win, no matter if he puts up rock, lizard or spock.

My neighbors were probably wondering what the heck was going on in my apt last when I was TBBT. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! (And I’m pretty sure I yelled out “He!l yes!” at one point, too.)
