Why did Melissa Rivers get work done on her face??? She is only 38! Now she looks almost as bad as her mother but at least Joan has an excuse as she is well over 60! Other than that, I was actually a little entertained and I had to laugh at the recap here about the Diceman imitating Crocodile Dundee….very funny.
Bad Har Decade – Gene Simmons did not quit – he was fired by DT. What Gene did do was orchestrate his firing which was revealed on “Family Jewels” last season. Never once did he say “I quit” like ADC did.
Why bother with actually MAKING the cupcakes? The professional chefs provided recipes and quantities, etc. Oh that’s right – we have to give the appearance of a “competition” even when we are a popularity contest – kinda like “American Idol” or cheerleader try outs (oh gee – was there anybody out there who thought it really mattered who could do the most backflips)???? Most of us learned this life lesson back in junior high – so Mr. Trump and NBC have no need to remind us. At least Gene Simmons was brutally honest about the value added by his Blackberry. These suckers (er, “contestants”) could save themselves a whole lotta time if they just came in with a pre-screened “call list”. Good salesmen do that all the time.
Some writer posed the question…who is this Josh Wolk? Well he is usually the best and funniest writer by far on EW. That said I have to think Josh either didnt write this critique or didnt watch the show or????? Really? one page on people we could laugh about for days? What happened Josh?
Jessicat thanx for the comment.
but you do realize that the contest was lost on the taste test, & ADC can legitimately claim that it wasnt his fault.
the taste test absolutely goes to prove that details matter despite available $$.
those of you who think the results are just because of big ticket donors, the results show that just because you are a celebrity doesnt mean that you have any clout, or friends that will support you monetarily or that you are motivated to access these friends & their money.
lets face it, if rodman could have or would have gotten his rich “friends” to donated 15k the men would have won despite the taste test.
thats what makes the show so fascinating. its just like real life in the fact that you never know whos motivated to produce, who will produce or what other small detail is the difference in winning and losing.
anyone who is a business owner or manager should be glued to the tv for this show. this is better mgmt training than any college course.
I’ll watch it. I don’t know why it’s called “Celebrity Apprentice” though. The status of their celebrity is arguable, and no one becomes an apprentice.
“this is better mgmt training than any college course.”
Spoken like a true imbecile.
My favorite part was when ADC kept commenting on how he fills arenas, as if he were the only one with fans, and the rest of the men looked at him (especially clint Black & Scott Hamilton)like “And you think we have no fan base? That we’ve never filled stadiums?” ADC must be the most self-deluded man on the planet.
heard ADC on Stern today and he gave a lot of insight on why he came off as so obnoxious. Howard was ribbing him at first asking him if he even knew what the premise of the show was, to be so insulted, but turns out “Donny” was goading him on and being insulting, and ADC was just sticking up for himself. They edited out Donny’s comments so it made adc look like a blowhard. Recap of the show is on Howard’s website or at marksfriggin dot com. Josh, more please! I know this show is hard to stomach, but you can do it!!

“this is better mgmt training than any college course.”
Spoken like a true imbecile.
Spoken like someone thinks their college degree is worth more than real-life experience.
And yes, I am a college graduate. But I learned more in my first 2 months of working than I did in all my college courses combined.
For many fields a college degree is imperative. But except for claiming that you actually finished something you started, most college degrees are worthless. Just ask all the college grads working out of their degree field or the unemployed college grads.
The Apprentice is a treasure trove of psychological interactions.
The id, ego, super-ego, jealousy, motivation, and team-work are all on display in a one-hour presentation.
You learn more about how to work with people in one hour of the Apprentice than you will ever learn in an entire year of college psychology classes.

he didnt say he was the only one to fill the arenas with this many people. he said he was the only comedian to fill the arenas with this many people.

peggy’s comment is exactly why this show is so educational about dealing with people. she obviously watched the show but totally misinterpreted adc’s comment.
lack of communication, inability to communicate, unwillingness to communicate, and failure to complete the most basic tasks are the most prevalent reasons that projects, and businesses in general, fail.
i have literally watch companies that i have worked for lose tens of thousands of dollars because of the same egos, lack of communication abilities and failure to complete simple but oh-so-important tasks in their business.

thanx for the insight. the show is edited for sure. its nice to catch some of the behind the scenes action that isnt on the televised portion.
