Kara DioGuardi is none too subtle about the basis for AI: “selling,” “marketing,” “packaging.” She’s more blatant about it than even Simon. Doesn’t that stink up the joyful experience of seeing young talented performers having a chance to shine and get exposure, not watching them being fed into some media meat-grinder? Paula at least seems sincere about the more artistic and emotional aspects of the “business.”
No. Kara’s a bio-tch, which was clear almost as soon as she came on the show. And, unfortunately, Simon’s already using up twice the bio-tch quotient any show can handle, so she comes off looking even worse. Paula’s right, ditch the fourth judge and go back to the original three.
This crap is ridiculous. I agree that 4 judges does take up alot of time. Maybe try each time the contestants perform only 3 of the 4 judges get to speak. No where in Paula’s statement did she mention Kara in a negative aspect. This is just some stupid extensive story that is going to brew all season long. I do like that Paula and Kara/Kara and Simon have different opinions. I do beleive that Simon and Kara though have the most surreal comments.

Paula should have stuck to her guns:
1. Four judges is too many
2. Kara is annoying and phony
Maybe they should get rid of Paula AND Kara and get Norman Gentle to be the third judge
What the heck??? I freaking can’t stand Kara. Everytime she speaks I just want to hit her in the mouth. She’s egotistical and she’s acting like she’s running the whole show. Almost no one gets as much time to talk as she does. Was that in the contract too? I used to listen to what’s his name, and then listen to Paula tell every one how beautiful they are and then Simon with the no-nonsense or fluff comments (that we all really agree with) and that was that. Now we have this other chick rambling on and on and on and on. Step down and then get off. If you really wanted people to respect your opinion right off the bat, you should have sat back, taken it all in, comment occasionally and get you feet wet. Instead you’re annoying and you need to shut up! Who are you anyway????
It’s amazing how many people can see through Kara! She does sound phony and not so intelligent. The only thing I have heard her talk about, which is musical,is the fact that someone was on pitch(or off), notes they have hit(or not). She just repeats herself and others after they have spoken. SHE RRREEEAAALLY SHOULDN’T BE ON THE SHOW!! She slowes it down, it is long and boring now. None of us really knows if Paula is on medication for anything, so we shouldn’t judge that by what the press has to hype about! Paula is really a kind person,I believe,and doesn’t like to hurt others. Meanwhile, if anyone can get the news to Kara and the”bosses” that the public doesn’t like her there, please do it before she really ruins the show!!!!
I forgot to add, who is Kara??? never heard of her. I have watched this show since it’s inception,but now I only watch occasionally. Mainly because it is boring this year,don’t like the way they are changing the concept of the show,(if it works, don’t fix it), and cannot bear to look or listen to the not-so-intelligent comments from Kara.

since , most people who commented lean towards disliking Kara, I dont understand why Paula is competing with her, I used to like Paula’s genuine from the heart judging, building the contestants up, now she rambles oddities that dont even make sense and obviosely threatened by Kara’s intelligence. get rid of Paula
