Is it me, but Jeff Probst seems to be getting horny with his blogs each time. (Blindfold in Bed??? Are you serious?) Sometimes I wonder if that is the real Jeff Probst or this wooden character we see on TV.
For the third straight episode the camera loved Sierra and Sydney. But this episode is clearly Sierra oriented. I guess Jeff has spilled the beans that Sierra won’t stay that long. Too bad, since we LOVED her.
Coach – it is a love him/hate him. Ok, we hate him. He is however good in TV like Randy was last season. He is ten times meaner than Jerri and Corrine combine.
Next week is Sydney oriented episode, can’t wait to see that one.

Now the real question is…will Brendan tell Taj where to find the HII at her camp or keep the secret to himself and string her along?
Jeff – love the blog…starts out my Friday with awesomeness :)

I fall in the Coach – hate him camp. But it’s good because the more and more he pisses me off the more satisfying it’ll be when he eventually gets blindsided. (It has to happen…right?) Seriously, what a complete tool! And… blindfolds=yes. On Survivor and in life. :)

C’mon people! Coach is hilarious! If he wins as a result of his up front cocksureness and his desire to get rid of all the weak, whiny, schemers, then more power to him. He’s so much more fun than the toxic tandem of Ken and Crystal. UGH!!!

Jeff…can not believe your feelings towards that coach thing. Like most people on most blogs, I don’t love to hate him, I just want him gone so I don’t have to look at or hear him. Please tell me he is outta here soon. I am seconds away from muting when he is on screen. Loved him finding out he was not in charge last night with the vote.

I love Sandy, she cracks me up! First she rides another girl like a pony and now the whole sex kitten comment, priceless :)
I for one love Coach he asmuses me and makes for great TV, on the other hand people like Erin anooy the heck out of me, would have been much happier if Jerry had stayed.
JP did you slip something into his beans to make him sick so that you wouldn’t loose anymore semi hot woman??

  • A plea to Probst

    Jeff Probst,
As you know, you have the best job in the world. Think about what you do. You are the host and producer of-dare I say-the highest quality TV show, which has been in the top twenty range for nine years. Every year, Survivor brings about thirty-two hours of original programming, without filler, and remains on top. Surely you deserve much credit for this.
Do you really think that in just one more year it will be time to leave? You’re still contributing. At the very least, anyone who is concerned about bringing something to the show can go back and watch various episodes from throughout the show’s run. Survivor has been the same show throughout its run, but it has had subtle changes. Look for all the high points and make what was old new again.
I know you cannot stay with the show forever, but does the show ever need to end? Look at 60 Minutes or The Tonight Show. You and the major crew members can train others to take over your jobs when they want to leave.
    Think about it.

    Sorry women not woman

The look on Coach’s face (at TC) when he realized that his tribe did not fully grasp his innate leadership abilities…priceless! The blow to his ego? Well…it takes a hit and keeps on growing.
Coach may be blinded by his goal, which is to show strength from beginning to end and come out on top. More power to ya, but it doesn’t always work that way. Just like life.
I would have really liked Tyson (whom I previously adored) to qualify his dream crushing remark by adding “those that have it coming.” As a human, living in today’s society, I just have a problem with people who take schadenfreude to an ugly level. But, I’ll give Tyson the benefit of the editing doubt. I like him that much…
Who I root for the most varies with each episode; mostly, I’m just along for the great ride.
And…speaking of great rides, I will attest to the sensory intensity of using blindfolds.

I thought coaches were supposed to unite a team, not divide them. Maybe it’s a good thing that he got fired from his “real” coaching job.

Honestly, based on the online pre-interviews I thought Coach was going to be one of my favorite survivors EVER. Nothing could be further from that being the case. I don’t love to hate him or hate him, he is just a huge disappointment. Timbira on the whole just is not interesting right now. They are bickering and losing…seen that/been there a dozen times already. Hopefully they all get cleaned out soon so we don’t get another Gabon on our hands (specifically an inept tribe somehow ending up with all the power post-merge). Top 5 this week? I can’t come up with five; there just are not enough people worth rooting for. JT, Spencer and Sandy are the only moderately redeeming characters left. Probst and Dalton blogs are always a good read; I can’t wait to see how Jeff extrapolates carpal tunnel into something provovative next week!

Jeff, thanks for making my Friday’s. I think Coach looks like Liam Neeson’s Star Wars character! Maybe he thinks the force is with him! Sorry to see Jerry go…

  • Kara

Does Coach think he is part of the XMEN? He is a great character to watch, very entertaining and oh so full of himself. Is anyone else developing a crush on JT? Don’t worry Jeff, no one comes close to your dimples especially when you are trying not to laugh (ie Coach thinking he is part of the XMEN team) Keep up the great blogging and have a glass of wine next time before writing. I am encouraging provacation.

Coach makes me want to hurl, and he’s only still in the game because he ended up on a tribe with abrasive sycophants like Debbie and Tyson. I understand the value of having someone I hate on the show, so I get invested in watching until he gets voted out, but Coach is almost too much. It will only be worth it if he is eventually humiliated. I’m just glad Erinn’s still around to drive him bonkers with her benign facial expressions.
I have a hunch Probst loves Coach so much because they share so many character traits.

  • markman98

Coach haters who want him gone: CHILL!! Probst is right..he is one of the great characters of recent memory. Every time the dude speaks it is GOLD! yes he is a frickin idiot..but he makes great TV. and so far this group is not that interesting..but like all great Survivor casts of the past they will begin to emerge..but for now let us enjoy COACH..just “exist” man..exist..
