Jamie Foxx has been working that actor-singer synergy for years, but no way was I prepared for the kind of Hollywood favors he called in for his new music video. The song’s called "Blame It" — short for "blame it on the alcohol" — and it features guest vocals from jack-of-all-hooks T-Pain, who is perhaps the seventh or eighth most famous person who appears in this clip. Check it out below to witness Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whitaker, Samuel L. Jackson, Ron Howard, and other random luminaries sipping expensive champagne in the club with Mr. Foxx and Mr. Pain. Wait…Ron Howard?! Yup. Apparently this is what he does in his spare time between directing thinking person’s popcorn flicks. (I’m also going to go ahead and assume that that’s old Opie getting down in the panda costume at 1:50 and later.)
"Blame It" is a catchy tune, and the visuals here are pretty cool, too, thanks to auteur Hype Williams. But this video is all about the stunt casting, which is just wonderful. In the clip below, you’ll see BET host Terrence J saying how much he wishes he could have been at this party. Me too, Terrence, me too. Anyone else in awe?

I won’t listen to it. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s good or not — I hate it when A-list movie stars release albums. It just seems greedy, like if Bill Gates were to win the Powerball.
wow- what a crappy video! I see Hype Williams is still churning out the same dreck he’s been doin since the 90’s… so sad, he was always an overstylist but now he just seems bored. in fact, why do all the celebs look bored? id go to the party and chill with ron howard, he seems like a fun drunk- sam jackson just looked like he was gonna fall asleep with that bogie in his mouth… the song was wack too, but ive never been a fan of jamie foxx’s music.
f’real Jelana- Bill Gates winning the PowerBall would be some sh**!
this is my shi*…give it a listen Jelana, even if it is against ur religion
I never in my wildest dreams would have looked at Opie like this. He actually didn’t look out of place. When he raised his glass he actually had some swagger. I see my man Cutty (from Dead Presidents) in there. Love ya Cutty! Glad Terrance “Baby Wipes” Howard wasn’t in there.
This was the dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life. Really, Ron Howard? Really?
Who ever thought OPIE(Ron Howard) would get hot…. It is a cool video especially with ACE of SPADE Champagne making the new move…. Forget Cristal in the 1990″s
Just seeing Ron Howard in this made me super wet !! Come here Ron let me pet your head !!!
I don’t care what noooooooooBODY says!!!! This video and the song was HOTT! Jamie Foxx did it BIG! Not everyone will agree but majority rules ja? This is a HAND DOWN HIT! Forest Whitaker? Jake G? Ron Howard?!?! Are you kidding me! I was definitly not expecting that. Jamie has brought something totally new to the table and it HOTT. Its working for him. Despite the critizism.
Omg!! I love this song and especially the video! Its got all of my favorite actors/directors in it! Good job with this one J!! I love it!!
The vid is hot. Especially with Ron Howard in it. How would thought of that? Just gives the video a comedic facet. I mean seriously, don;t take urself so seriously. That’s the point.I mean Ron Howard could be tough. Wasn’t he going to fight Fonzie once?
Paige & Jelana – HATERS! JEALOUS MUCH?
The video was decent all of you that are sayin it was wack need to expand your music variety.
This video was excellent! I really enjoyed the fact that he allowed his sister with down syndrome to dance in the video..You go J Fox!
This song is the BEST!!! I Don’t care what you have to say about it.
