Kris Allen!!! Whoot!!!
But Adam “Cullen” Lambert just got a million more votes for being a Twilighter. Adam “Cullen” Lambert is Gokey’s worst nightmare.
Can we have Anoop back now? Pretty please? Tonight was hard to watch.
I adore MEGAN!!!
I really liked Adam Lambert in the audition round, because he has a great voice. But tonight? – Come on! To me Satisfaction is oldfashioned – always reminds me of the Snickers commercial in the 90s.
Okay, seriously, get over Megan Corkrey’s tattoo!! It’s not that big of a deal. That’s such a dumb reason to not vote for someone. Anyway, I loved her performance. She’s weird. She’s quirky. She’s different and I just totally dig her. Other than her, this show still needs to change its name to Mediocre Idol. My once favorite show is now becoming a chore to watch. This season is worse than the first one.
Adam, Allison and STORMIN NORMAN GENTLE(channeling Jerry Lewis!…LOVE HIM)…
whether or not you like them, you will remember them..each one is an entertainer
This week for me it was the women over the men. Allison, Megan, Jessie, and Mishavonna (who has the best name) captivated me the most with their performances. I love the rocky power of the first, tone and phrasing of the 2nd and 3rd, and the clarity of the 4th. I found Adam’s performance too hard to watch. Yes, he can sing, but it was way too stagey for me, and hence it came off as corny. I thought Kai was much more watchable for me, and he sang his song well (though I do hate that song). And Kris was rough at the beginning, but knocked it out of the park in the end. And I can definitely see the girls going for him. I think this week it’ll be two women and one guy–probably Allison and either Megan or Mishavonna, and either Kris or Adam. Hope Jessie gets a wild card. And I find that Simon’s comments this year are really redundant while Paula and Kara and sometimes even Randy are offering some of the more insightful critiques.
I might be one of the few out there – but I see something in Kris Allen – every one-line bit we got before this week was eye-catching, even if it wasn’t horribly unique or spectacular. I still thought tonight was awful as a whole – on both the singers’ and the judges’ sides. I’m happy they didn’t return to speaking to the parents – that was definitely a mistake last week.
I do feel bad for Giraud – he’ll def get another chance.
Slezak – check out Iraheta’s Total Eclipse of the Heart on YouTube on an Idol-esque show — do we have another Ramiele on our hands???
Allison Iraheta has some pipes but I get the feeling this one will be a fluke. Just watch.
Mishavonna does act like an old hausfrau but her voice was lovely.
Megan was a disappointment in my book. And what’s with the twitching? The hell?
I’m sorry but I was entertained by both Adam and Normund, and this is why I watch, not to actually purchase music. Adam is bombastic and over-the-top but do we really need another screechy R&B diva? And Norman Gentle was like the most I’ve enjoyed an Idol performance, ever. If that means I have bad taste, well I say eff it, I guess I have bad taste.
Kara still needs to stop leaning towards the microphone!
“I might be one of the few out there – but I see something in Kris Allen”
I saw something too…he’s hot. I just didn’t hear anything special
Kris Allen had my vote. He’s had very little exposure and comes out shining. I thought Slezak would be all over that! I feel he definitely deserves a top 3 position.
Maybe Randy was just trying to reference the vampire in his Twilight comment about Adam. The boy looks like he took the tranny train straight from Transylvania. Geez! And more pancake than IHOP…..
Tonight was just awful. What happened to Matt Giraud??? He was amazing in Hollywood but tonight- ouch. Mishavonna and Allison have potential- for a 7th place finish maybe. Adam Lambert is ridiculous – sure he has vocal skill. So does Norman Gentle. Does that necessarily make for a pleasant listening experience? No. And he is not current. That emo/punk wannabe hair is 5 minutes past tired. Megan and Jesse are interesting – not sure if either did enough to get through though.
Matt Girard deserves a place in the top 12. Please vote for him.
