President Obama delivered his not-the-State-of-the-Union speech last night, and then it was Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal’s turn to present the Republican rebuttal. And Chris Matthews was psyched!
"Oh, god," Chris, your mike was still on.
Anyone catch this the first time?

I know it’s been said a hundred times already, but watching it last night all I could think was that he sounded like Kenneth from 30 Rock.
Sorry, didn’t American Idol:Obama get canceled? I was more entertained watching a Celebrity Deathmatch rerun–it was less self-aggrandizing and a lot more truthful.
Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman have single handedly discredited NBC news.
Haha, that was totes my response to Bobby Jindal’s speech. What a loser. Good job Chris, even if it was unintentional
RE: Chris
Couldn’t agree more- Matthews is the equivalent of a pudgey Anne Coulter. They both disgust me.
He’s not a loser. The problem is that a football player from The Saints needs to pull him aside and show him HOW to look as if you are going to kick someones a-ss. He made very good points, but physically he comes off looking like a really adorable Gomer Pyle as an American Indian.
Bean-
Your mom is pudgy. Still totally f*ckable though.
Jindal really does epitomize the Republican Party: clueless and idiotic. Bunch of losers…get your heads out from your behinds, forget about politics and help this country.
I felt like I was watching Mr. Rogers Bollywood style.
It was Keith Olbermann, not Chris Matthews.
It was Chris Matthews. He will talk about it tonight on his show what he meant by ‘ oh God ‘ .
Jindal is not American Indian, he’s South Asian Indian. As for adorable, uh, no, but YMMV.
Can someone tell me what’s wrong with this? I think I missed something. Someone inform me, please.
To Poster “DAM69:” you are oh, so right. Might I add that it also seemed like a promo to Disneyworld or a young Mickey Rooney saying enthusiastically to a young Judy Garland: “Hey, we could put on a musical in our barn!!” Or maybe Gov. Jindal was on some “happy gas.” Whatever his Republican Party rebuttal was all about, sorry Gov. Jindal, you delivered it way too “Ed Wood-ish.” You needed to be much more serious than you came across.
I like Bobby & was glad to see him get elected in La. However, that was not a response to Obama’s state of the union; Bobby delivered a speech (one that it appeared he was reading from a prompter behind the camera) nothing in Bobby’s speech was a rebuttle to Obama. Bobby spent the time telling “stories” that he must have written long before the state of the union & relating Katrina again… sorry, but I am tired of this; had La. ( and I lived there at the time) taken the time & money to fix the levee system Katrina would not have been so dramatic — remember the hurrican didn’t destroy the area it was the rain that broke the levees several days l-a-t-e-r. Sorry, Bobby but as much as I like you – that was a prepared speech that did not address Obama’s remarks.
