Ahhh the wait in shoes that are too cute, but too painful. Shows that NEVER start before midnite and one of the funkiest performers on the face of the earth…ah yes, I remember it well. I’m not Jealous Whitney…I’m happy you got to see him. I don’t miss doing that in heels and snow one freakin bit, but it was always worth during his shows. Thanks for the write up, girl. Excellent job.

Henry – having been a fan forever and after attending more Prince concerts than I can remember to count, I can say that there was no one planted. He attracts a diehard fanbase of varying ages, races, sex, religion who flock to his suprise venues at a moment’s notice ready to get their groove on for several hours. It’s a true experience and I’m glad you got to experience for yourself what all the hype is about.

I wanna add more to my comment. I am not putting Prince down at all. I just want to make it clear. I love Prince as an artist and a musician. I just wish he would go back to what he did best…make music from the soul and perform from the heart. Being a fan for more than 25 years, I have always had high expectations for Prince as a performer. Unfortunatly, I didn’t this time around. Having seen 3121 almost every weekend, getting to see his after shows at the Jazz cuisine, expecting more…I guess in some ways I have been oversaturated with Prince. I came to the show hoping to see something different, new, fresh and it felt just like 3121….the atmosphere, the music DJ Rashida played and the waiting…and more waiting…, just like 3121. Being a Sunday night, being an older fan…(there were many of us there)…u would think Prince could start on time. NO. I didn’t pay to party like a rockstar and mingle with the celebs, I was there to watch Prince at his best. He came on stage and I digged his outfit…his style and his band…very strong. But hearing cover song after cover song…was not my ideal of a REAL Prince show. I wish he would play to the fans, like he did in past years…not to oversaturate us with fluff.
