Omaha indie rockers Cursive will return on March 10 with Mama, I’m Swollen, their first full-length since 2006’s widely praised Happy Hollow. According to the press release, Mama is "an album brimming with the universal, questioning the human condition, social morality, and the ‘Peter Pan Syndrome’ of grown men." It may also be brimming with melodic hooks and offbeat orchestration, if brand-new song "I Couldn’t Love You" is any indication. And EW.com is currently the one and only place you can hear the track. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

I am SO thrilled that Cursive has new music coming out soon; they are flat out amazing!
Not too bad of a song. It sounds more like Tim Kasher’s other band The Good Life than a traditional Cursive song. I was expecting something a little harder, but this song is still enjoyable in my opinion.
when i saw them live about a month ago they played a lot of the new songs.
i enjoyed them especially the ones where he talks about animals and going to hell.
I’m excited. I like the cold harsh honesty Tim tends to put into his material. I already preordered, just waiting to download it on the 2nd.
cool song
Looking forward to this more than Happy Hollow.
I Like it. I also agree about the Goodlife reference.
i love it!!!
thanks for the kind words folks
I like it a lot. It sounds very fresh. The arrangements are stellar. I am really looking forward to hearing the rest.
It sounds like the vocals are turned up too loud in the mix but other than that I love it.
I kind of like having the vocals high in the mix. The song has a nice jazz tinge anyway, and Tim’s one of my favourite modern vocalists.
This gets even better every time I hear it.
Excellent track! This could be the album of the year for me.
I see Tim posted here, so I must ask: What song is this, and is it on the new album? It’s fantastic as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&hl=en&v=dnAbSHOIxHs&feature=related
i’ll be pre-ordering the vinyl tomorrow, i can’t wait for to hear this album.
I recommend you a very interesting place ___MillionaireLoving co m_____ It ’s where you have the opportunity dreaming about dating a millionaire and make it true!
its great its very cursive.
thats the thing ive enjoyed with this band is how every album has had its own uniqueness and judging from this song this album will be no exception.
cant wait
I need to make good singles like this again.
i’ve had a horrible day and this song plus the news that there will be a new album just made it alot better. i think i’m going to start a band called ‘Print’.
Sounds like a good name
I could boogie to this. Man, I could boogie to this.
rad dudes. big hugs.
I second The Good Life comment, but at the same time knowing this is Cursive and judging by this one song alone we can expect an entire differnt musical journey than we did with Happy Hollow, The Ugly Organ, Domestica, Summers, ECT. Thats what makes this band so unique in my opp, each LP they re-invent thier sound. The only question I have is will this album have an overall theme or concept like previous releases? My guess would be unintentionaly yes.
I am really digging this, I hope the flute is on some other tracks on this next album.
Brings me back to the old days, great work, gents!
Definitely already has a different sound – and I like it! In fact it’s a little addicting…
so in love with this band.
That YouTube song is “Mama, I’m Satan”
Agreed about the vocals being a little too high up…maybe the whole albums mixed like that. I’m sure the unification will help. Cool track, excited to hear more woodwind stuff on this album
This is a pretty sweet song, i’m lookin forward to the new record…can i ask Tim if there’s plans to tour the UK again, especially Aberdeen, Scotland
I like it, but I sorta think this has a Cure feeling to it. Might just be me. I like the link for the youtube video song better. But both are very good.

Very cure-esque.
I’m a huge fan of Cursive but this is a little ridiculous…
