In a move that’s becoming commonplace in the current fractured musiclandscape, U2 will premiere their highly anticipated new album, No Line on the Horizon, on MySpace Music starting tomorrow morning, the website revealed toEW.com exclusively. At 5 a.m. EST (2 a.m. PST) on Feb. 20, listeners canstream the entire album for free on U2′s MySpace page (www.myspace.com/u2), meaning fans will be able to catch No Line on the Horizon well over a week before its official U.S release on March 3.
MySpace has increasinglyserved as a go-to portal for A-list artists — including Beyonce, KanyeWest, Fall Out Boy, Keith Urban, and Franz Ferdinand — hoping togenerate some pre-release buzz for their albums, and U2 is definitely pulling out all the promotional stops for No Line on the Horizon. Along with the MySpace release and their recent appearance opening the Grammy Awards, the band will play five consecutive nights on Late Night With David Letterman starting March 2.
So, PopWatchers, are you excited to get an early look at what Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen Jr., and Adam Clayton have in store? Once the album goes live on MySpace, ahem, get on your boots (metaphorically speaking), hop on over there to give it a listen, and then hop on back here to tell us whatcha think!

this thing leaked on the internet already…. that’s probably why they’re streaming it on myspace a.s.a.p.
Can’t EW do anything about the spammers???
Like everyone hasn’t downloaded it already on torrent sites. By the way (mediocre album)
I HATE THIS NEW ALBUM, i hope what i heard so far is a aprils fools joke in feb

It’s a fantastic album. Torrent it, hear it on myspace, or buy it – it doesn’t matter just listen to it.
MySpace is great for buzz but lousy for generating sales. Look what happened to GNR (beyond what some may consider “quality” issues): 8 million plays in 3 days, and in 3 months it still hasn’t gone platinum in the U.S. I know I will listen to No Line On The Horizon in the morning and buy it on March 3; I wonder how many will do the same, especially when they can listen to it on MySpace for free.
Magnificent is THE SONG!
Just listened to the whole album except “I’ll Go Crazy…” (for some reason, that song wasn’t posted). Sounded great to me. Reminded me of The Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack the band members were involved with prior to All That You Can’t Leave Behind, only much better. I liked it, I think it’s a grower.
Wow. I think it’s incredibly good. I’m a longtime fan, and I think it’s SO much better than their last album (which I wasn’t as crazy about). It’s their new soul album with Jack White guitar pedals! Can’t wait to hear these songs live. As always, I’ll be there front & center.
ono
I’m listening to it now. It is amazing!!!!!
I have to be honest at first i was a little disapointed but after 3-4 listens this might be the best album since Joshua Tree. Unbelivable how good it is and how much it grows on you.
I’ve fallen in love with them all over again.
It’s Late Show with David Letterman not Late Night.
