watcha…I totally agree with you on Alexis’ performance. I think there were just so many bad singers that the judges were blinded. With a song like that I would have expected, and desired to hear more rawness. I man just the song message itself warrants it. I was really unimpressed except for Danny. I like that hes not poster boy cute, but he has got some pipes and some soul. So far not a fan of the women this season (not suprisingly since Simon seemed very interested in putting attractive women through this season)

to tatiana: was THAT really YOU?!! uhm, not bad, i guess, but i was completely weirded out with your being all collected and calm.
for danny: i don’t think it was his best performance, and i’m not sure it deserved all the hype that randy, paula and kara had given. i’m still fan, though, and i hope he goes a long way with AI.
to those who don’t like danny’s dead wife story, i just wanna point out that each person copes with loss differently, and that he mentioned in his interview video that it was her who encouraged danny to join, so he can’t exactly set her aside as long as he’s in the competition. as for his “smug smile”, remember what jamar said during hollywood week – day 1: “he puts on such a BRAVE FACE”. as for the story being told on-air too much, i don’t think he has any say about that.
My money is on Gokey cracking the top 10. However, truth be told that the only market that he will be able to make money in is the Christian Music one ala Michael W. Smith.
UR dead on about the band. Strange things happening which seemed to affect all of the contestants. Maybe a monitor problem which would be reflected in pitch issues? It was a blemish on AIs overall product that night which they are otherwise clearly working to freshen up a bit and reach deeper for more quality.
