Just caught Sunday night’s Family Guy, and although my favorite part was definitely the "eye floaters" bit (who among us hasn’t engaged in silent conversation with those buggers?), we gotta give big ups to Family Guy and writer (not manatee) Cherry Chevapravatdumrong for reacting so quickly to Balegate 2009. big ups? i don’t see why when all their jokes are completely interchangeable. this was probably really easy for them.
It was funny but maybe a little TOO easy … I did laugh hard when Peter told CB that he ate the last piece of pie – “Ohhh, goood!”
That said, I thought the funniest part of the whole episode was Peter and Quagmire doing the “Safety Dance” at Carter P’s party. For some reason that just REALLY cracked me up!!

Why does anyone watch this idiotic show? It is really the worst writing I’ve ever seen. How do they even show their faces in public after “South Park” so perfectly savaged them? “SP” completely exposed why the show is so terrible — all of its jokes are random and none of the humor is derived from anything to do with the characters. Not to mention the jokes are impossibly lame and easy. How can you watch a show that does “remember the time I tightrope walked naked over New York City?” type of cutaways about fifty times in a half hour? You’ve made a hack a multimillionaire because of this abominable show. Congrats, America!

i can get behind parodies like this – THIS was genuinely funny. i loved the “wait, professionally? are you asking me on a date??”
what i don’t find funny is all the lame*ss comics who just did their own version of bale’s rant, i.e. nothing more than just imitating it. so stupid. props to family guy for doing it right. and to those critics who say family guy is stupid and unfunny…to each his own. i used to think south park was really funny in its early days. not so much anymore. family guy IS stupid, but it’s funny, too. maybe you just don’t get the random pop culture references they throw out and that bothers you?
