As a fan of the Terminator series since 1984, I simply love this show. I was considering quitting TV altogether rather than going digital, and if this show is canned as some other great shows I loved, I may just do it!

Forget Fox. This is a great series, but don’t worry about missing an episode — just wait for the DVD set when this (probably final) season is completed. Season 1 made perfect sense on DVD and felt a lot stronger. Season 2 will complete its storyline, lead into the upcoming “Terminator: Salvation” movie, and be gone — but Lena Headey and Summer Glau have done a good job and the writers really worked the premise all the way.

I love the show. It can be frustrating because the plot takes time to unfold. The whole story is divulged slowly while we get to know and try to understand the character’s motivations. I look forward to this show. Last year it was on Friday night as I recall.

I think pairing it with 24 on Mondays would make for a great action TV night

you’re right. I actually watched all the episodes top to bottom in almost one sitting. It isn’t just the scattered scheduling… the show is actually starting to suck. What made it good in the beginning isn’t there anymore. Fortunately, the new movie is coming out… can’t wait to care about the Terminator universe again.

I love the show and have found that if you miss an episode, you miss a lot. It is very dark and brooding, and they need to incorporate some more action into the show. I keep waiting for some kind of mini-payoff with story arcs – but the arcs seem to take SOOOOOOOOO long to payoff.
Did Fox even promote that the show was moving to Friday night? Plus, where was Summer Glau in the episode? She was barely in it!

I watched the first part of Season 2 again during the break and enjoyed it a lot more the second time around. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the episodes the first watch, but the last couple before the break seemed a little disjointed. The second look allowed me to bring it all together and I must say they were awsome.
TSCC is one of the best shows on TV, period. I agree, the breaks hurt the momentum of the show and could be misconstrued as a subtle way to kill a show. But, benefit of the doubt, I think it’ll be like Supernatural or Battlestar, kinda wonky around the midseason break, but fires up in the first few episodes back. We’ll look back at last night’s episode as very important in the upcoming storyline. Lost was able to get a solid season run, maybe it is time for mythology shows to be given that option.

This is a dumb article. It’s written by someone who doesn’t understand the concept of a winter hiatus (branding it crazy “on-again off-again” scheduling), and he’s writing about a show he doesn’t even watch. EW embarrasses themselves with articles like this.

Like Battlestar Gallactica and Lost, the overarcing plots are so complicated they almost don’t matter. It’s still the most watchable show on TV, with great characters and action, if you can just go with the flow. I wouldn’t miss an episode.

The best show on TV, the only thing I HAVE to watch every week…but I think Fox is doing the wrong thing moving it from Monday night to Friday!

While I enjoy Sci-Fi, rarely get hooked on a show because one of the following elements is weak: acting, writing, plot. This show is AMAZING. Not a big fan of how the Terminator story line was carried after the original movie. I LOVE this series. It is dark and it takes time for the plot to develop BUT it is VERY well written and I am fascinated with the slow to develop plot that has action/tension in each episode. Please keep this show alive. Also, I enjoy watching it on the website when I forget to watch/tape it.

Sorry, Ben, but I don’t think you have much to stand on in your argument. The show isn’t nearly as complicated as you make it out to be; the plot is actually pretty straightforward- all you have to do is pay attention and keep watching, which you must not have been doing if you sound this lost with what’s going on. There was a 2min recap at the beginning of the ep that helped fill us in on exactly where we were leaving off. Great show, great ep- and I hope viewpoints like yours don’t kick it off the air. We need more shows like this and less ones like Heroes.

I really like the show, but it is starting to suck. I’ve watched every episode. While the plot isn’t too terribly complicated, the timing of the story arcs is totally slipping into bad-daytime-soap land. It would be easier, I think, to keep interest up if the writers stuck to one long story arc per season, with intermittent two or three show arcs happening several times a season. And they’ve definitely lost the concept of a self-contained episode, which can be had without sacrificing the complexity of the season long, and even series long plots. I hope it gets better, or it will definitely get canceled.

I agree with the review. I still try and watch the show, but when they went forward in time and it turns out the Terminators have been spreading their war across time for years…This show is starting to be less like Terminator and more like the Temporal Cold War in Enterprise. Time travel does not equal great story idea. Honestly, I think the writers of this show just sit there with four basic plot elements to use every week: 1)Summer Glau’s Terminator acts like a social moron, 2)There has to be at least one car crash, 3)One of the human characters has to be hurt/shot, 4)Nobody smiles.

Person watches single out-of-context episode of tv show with continuing story line. Doesn’t get what’s happening. We should care… why?
What’s your point? You want the series to be dumbed down so you can watch one individual episode and still catch the whole back story? I hear there are re-runs of Friends, perhaps you’d be happier with that show.
