I’ve seen several episodes now and I think it’s an exciting, interesting concept. Definitely worth a second look!

Sorely disappointed all around with “Dollhouse.” Dushku’s face can emote, her body can hold an audience’s attention (at least for those years it remains lithe), but her voice and enunciation have no range. She is not Jennifer Garner (“Alias”) and has seen too much broadcast air time to strike us as a new creature. What happened to the casting brilliance demonstrated with “Buffy” and “Firefly,” when each character had, well, character? There is no style to the cinematography, and especially the outdoor scenes appear constrained by budget or daylight. As a Whedon fan, I’m hurting. Will go watch “Dr. Horrible” to sort of cleanse my palate of the “Dollhouse” experience.

Remember that pilots are almost always awkward and not that good. I wasn’t that fond of the Dollhouse pilot, but I could see the potential. Now that the second episode has aired and I begin to see threads of where continuing story arcs may go, I’m definitely intrigued. Also, the second episode was much better. If people give it a few weeks to see where it’s going, I think it will be a keeper. Besides, how can you not like a show that gives a nod to Richard Connell’s The Most Dangerous Game?

Did people actually watch the show before they crammed the blogs with glowing fanboy reviews? Because in the cold light of day the premiere was a wretched and depressing mess. I had high hopes — okay, medium height hopes at best, but watching the show knocked the wind out of me. It stank so bad and it’s confounding; all of the actors are people I’ve loved on other shows. So why is it that they are all so shrill, drab and/or wan in a Whedon show of all things? How do you combine Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett with Whedon and not have a great show? The first five minutes alone were so ponderously cheesy that I just sat there stunned. At least the show telegraphs its suckage up front. I pray that four or five episodes in things will change. Angel changed radically and for the better. It could happen right? Right??!!

Ugh…not big on Joss Whedon mostly not big on the Buffy franchise. However the premise of the show sounds pretty unique and original I’m rather shocked that it’s a Joss Whedon show. I’ll give it a shot but I aint pushing my luck.

Since I’ve been waiting in anticipation for roughly a year….YES! As for all of the trailers and stuff, I find that for some reason Joss’s stuff has some really crappy promotional material. If ever there was a guy who could take a dumb name (still not a fan of the title) and a sketchy sounding concept and turn it into gold, Whedon is the one. Plus, I just remind myself that Whedon’s biggest success to date was also a mid-season replacement.

I really want to watch Dollhouse. But the moment I saw that its playing on Friday nights, I was like ‘How stupid!’ This show needs to come on after big rating shows like American Idol, a Tuesday or Weds night. I really don’t like the timeslot. I wish the best for this show.
