Seth Rogen's 'Observe and Report' trailer: Hilariously NSFW

Categories: Movie Trailers

I know where I’ll be when Seth Rogen’s movie about a lovestruck dolt of a mall cop hits theaters on April 10. I’d probably go see Observe and Report on the strength of Rogen’s past work alone (Pineapple Express, Superbad, Knocked Up), but if not, this red-band trailer (after the jump) would have tipped the scales for me. Definitely not safe for work, but Rogen, Anna Faris, and Ray Liotta all make it look so good.

Haha. This one looks great. Seth Rogen and Anna Faris together? Sign me up.

  • jb

An odd combo of funny and sad.

I do like Seth Rogen, but I actually didn’t find this trailer that funny. The redeeming grace was Anna Faris. She’s always fantastic, even with sub-par material.

  • aps

that did not look good to me. i’d rather watch paul blart i think.

  • turd fergison

Kevin James better watch out. This looks like a better, more mature comedy, that adults will actually enjoy.

  • Anna Farris

Anna Farris = Funniest female on the planet who also happens to be the hottest female on the planet

  • Dwight Schrute

If you liked Paul Blart, you are an idiot.

  • carr

Regardless of whether you liked Paul Blart, if you pretend to be a character from the office, you are an idiot.
I’m kind of over Seth Rogen and his type of movie. I need a break from it. Or I need to see him doing something a little different to change things up.

  • mykel

I hate to be the wet blanket, but why was a significant part of the trailer centered around taking advantage of an intoxicated woman? Is that funny?

  • Amelia

    I agree with you, mykel

I don’t think this looks very good. I used to really like Seth Rogen, but haven’t liked his latest movies. I’ll pass on this one.

This looks absolutely horrible. The dialogue is so lame. I love it how studios compete with similar projects. They hear one studio is working on a mall security guard comedy so they have to come up with their own. Ridiculous. At least Rogen isn’t playing a lovable loser like he does in every other movie.

  • Renaton

Loved it. Can’t wait to see. This seems to be much better wirtten and directed than that awful Paul Blart film.
And Seth Rogen and Anna Faris together will be the best pairig in a comedy in a long time, I think.

OMG that looked horrible. If couldn’t figure out if that was suppose to be a comedy or something else.

  • Laura

Ewww, this looks awful. And gross. And I agree with Mykel, why is it funny to take advantage of an intoxicated woman?

  • Nick

The trailer is trash. Complete, utter, imbecilic poop. A waste of two full minutes, which I could have used to save the world. Abby, if you’re the future of print-media criticism and analysis, then bye-bye EW. How much were you paid?

  • milo

Holly Sh*t! I have until now truly enjoy Seth Rogen’s comedies but I have to agree with the majority here, this looks like pure crap; the exact same vile that comes out of Anna Farris character before he “accepts” here. Abby? really? you wanna see this? they make it look good? As a female you should be disgusted by it, not looking forward to it, but then again your fave show is probably “I love money” on VH1.

  • dan

are you kidding me? this looks awesome!!! all you people calm down. Seth Rogan kicks Paul Blart’s disney ass.

  • Lene

I laughed the entire trailer. He wasnt taking advantage of her, when he saw she was sleep he stopped. She yelled at him to keep going! I guess I am immature…I thought it was hilarious! Paul Blart was hilarious too, its just I enjoyed that one with my kids. Now hubby and I can go to this one and act like kids. Seth does it again!!

  • Paul

I like how dark the movie looks. And skateboarders get beaten up which is awesome. I am very excieted for this movie.

  • Jim Nasium

Don’t listen to the naysayers, Abby. The trailer rocks sofa king hard!
Previews can be misleading, but from what I can see, this looks like a darkly profane, and funny movie.
