best performances have to be: MIA,TI,JayZ,Kanye,LilWayne
Katy Perry
Sugarland/Adele
Taylor Swift (miley was just blah)
What a total waste of my time. Three hours I will never get back.
Last night was the worst award show I have ever sat through. The Grammys are suppose to be upbeat, edgy. A mixture of talent to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. It was a dud!
Where were the artist that makes you want to dance around your coffee table? The artist that may say or do anything? I found it disturbing that shout-outs to the President from the stage seem appropriate. Lack of respect, while bringing attention to Obama’s new celebrity.
What a let down.
Whitney Houston looked stoned off her ass yet again, and Lil Wayne went from muffin top to redefining asstop. yuck.
The performances ver pretty weak. Justin Timberlake, Chris Martin and Katy Perry suckes at singing and during some performances, like The Four Tops’ song, I somehow thought that there was a lack of time to rehearse. Of course, the M.I.A/Kanye/Jay-z/ Lil’ Wayne/ T.I. performance was great (how else?) and Radiohead were just plain awesome, but I think it speaks for itself when the Jonas Brother left more impression on the viewer than, let’s say, Macca.
And, did anyone else find the constant standing ovation irritating? I mean, isn’t a standing ovation something that is only made for very special, impressing people? And not something that everyone who appears on stage (no matter if presenting, performing or announcing) should get?
“LEAH: Zooey Deschanel, actress #42 to introduce a band! But she is a little lavender button, isn’t she?”
Actually she IS a singer. She is one half of “She & Him”. They are pretty good too I think.
