I am glad to see that DIVAS LIve will return. Having Cher and Britney Spears would be great. Also have either a tribute to Michael Jackson or the music of Sonny and Cher.
I feel like if we were to resurrect Divas, it wouldn’t be successful if it were just a re-hash of the past bringing back so many women who have been around longer and were the make-up of so many past episodes.
Obviously to not count any in would be ludicrous, but let’s focus on the ladies of this era and give them their dues. Women like Kelly, Carrie, Leona, Rihanna, Adele, Amy Winehouse, and so many you all mentioned.
I think it would be just plain WRONG not to include Brandi Carlile. She’s no Mariah, but damn can she sing. If you’ve ever seen her live, you can attest to this. (I saw her at Grant Park in Chicago at the Taste, horrible conditions, but she still sounded great.)
What about Fergie? I used to hate her until I saw her on Idol Gives Back and she performed w/ Heart to sing Barracuda. She impressed me there and I’ve been a fan since.
