Paul might be the best musician/singer of all time - and if it's not him then it's John. His catalog is truly remarkable and unmatched. The Beatles are probably the only band in history for whom there is no debate of their greatness. If you think they are overrated, that only means you are ignorant of most of their music and are only going by the limited songs you've heard on the radio. Most of their greatest songs get very little play due to all of the copyright/legal issues. The only problem with The Beatles is that they make almost everyone else look bad, so it's hard to go from them to listening to other artists.

I was watching American bandstand back in late '66 or early '67 when Dick Clark introduced a new Beatles song by film...Strawberry fields forever. Check out the look on the audience and i must say i joined them in thinking... what the h.. was that. Not of this world. No one, absolutely no one at that time even comes close to this kind of sophistication in rock music. Lets get back to the time when we craved for something new and inovative. How many other bands still spark this much conversation? The Beatles... 45 years later or 145 years, will still be talked about with awe.

Although I don't use itunes, I know many who do. Apple really needs to get the Beatles catalog remastered and out on itunes before it's more or less to late. I would love to see Paul do an album called "Songs The Beatles Gave Away"! His cover of all those songs they wrote for Cilla, Peter and Gordon, and many others! It would be so cool to him sing "Step Inside Love" and "Woman" just to pick out a couple!!! This would be a popular project with fans I'm sure. Time to bring those songs home Paul.

Patience will be rewarded by Jeff Jones...of that I'm sure. And the fact that Pauland the others are now giving the new head of Apple Corps autonomy in negotiations is in keeping with the way Neil Aspinall slowly persuaded them to see Apple as other than the 'failed venture' in which The Beatles' friendship faltered. Standing up to Apple Computer is nothing new for Apple Corps. When the former attempted to assert that they were now unassailable by cheekily forming their own company called Apple Corps Ltd in London (later changed to Corps business), it was the cue for a whack on the head from Neil Aspinall's legal team and a series of new albums that reasserted The Beatles brand in no uncertain terms. I'm sure the deal Jeff gets from iTunes will be great and that the products, remastered Beatles will YET AGAIN make them the Number One selling act on the planet.

In reply to Suzie's little ditty, there is just one problem - the first four Beatles' albums are only available in inferior mono. Bring on the stereo versions and, if there as good as the Columbia Legacy series (oversighted by Apple CEO Jeff Jones) they will leave the current CDs for dead!

On the 45th anniversary of the greatest band ever coming to America, I say to Paul, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Rock On and anyone that thinks the Beatles are overrated doesn't know great music if it kicked them in the ass.

The Beatles are forever! I may not have truly aged yet (I'm 16), but growing up listening to The Beatles instead of The Backstreet Boys is something that I couldn't be prouder of (Thank you dad!). I couldn't love you all or your music more, all the best to you and your current endeavors Sir Paul! This hippie at heart sends you peace and love!
