Honestly, this season is the first time I have ever followed the show so closely, and so so sad to see Stephanie go. One may hope to find her as the next Bachelorette? Hmm.. the possibilites!
Oh Chris. Green Day?? They are not from Seattle, mister. They are from Berkeley.
What happened to Deanna, thought she was going to show back up @ some point? The clip was shown at the start of the show and now we’re to hometown dates and still nothing! K
Green Day…huh? Oh well, at least you didn’t say Pearl Jam (who is from Seattle; Green Day – as stated before – isn’t). And the “sound” you refer to as the body of water outside of Jason’s house is actually Lake Union and technically isn’t part of the sound but does connect to it. But you’re forgiven on that one!
As mentioned by Seattle Girl I also am questioning that the house we saw really is Jason’s. Because 1) he is from Kirkland; 2) those houseboats cost millions and 3) I don’t know many hetero men who have quilts as wallhangings. That house was professionally decorated. It was gorgeous, however!
Chris,
Just for fun–next show you film, try a chopstick!
Enjoying the insider info! In all these seasons, who has been your favorite Bachelor? And least favorite?
Love the champagne-glass-banging story–thanks for commenting on that:) Too funny–I had wondered if any glasses were ever harmed in the filming of this show. Thank goodness just one
Jenn:)

Thanks for making this real for us Chris. Melissa all the way!
Chris,
Love these recaps! I could have sworn I saw Jason on an ET type show giving a tour of his house and it definitely wasn’t the house boat in last night’s episode..That wasn’t really his house was it??
Stephanie was not right for Jason. That was obvious. But, boy, she is all class. She was loved by all the girls and Jason. Not sure that she would make a good bachelorette though. She’s too perfect. She looked her best with no makeup when you woke them for the trip to Seattle. She looked younger and fresh! I think Molly is the one, but I have been wrong every season.
Your blog puts the show in a different perspective for me know. Thanks for making it more realistic for us. and yeah, where is Deanna?
Once again, a terrific blog! I’ve always thought “This is the last rose line was funny, since most of the girls are probably following it closely, but it gave you more camera time!!!!! I thought Stephanie was a very classy lady and her departure was very much in character. I think that she and Jason would be great friends, but nothing more. I can see the relationship between Jason and Melissa growing, but I think that Molly is coming on strong. Have a great week. Cannot wait for the hometown dates, although from the previews, some of them look like train wrecks.
You know, I have watched many seasons of the Bachelor and I have to tell you, Jason is a stand up guy. All though I would like to know what led to his divorce, and how a woman could let him go, it doesn’t really matter. He seems like a good guy and any woman would be lucky to have him. And the final 5 women… all fantastic ladies. Of all the seasons, I enjoyed these women the most. They are all classy ladies. Every one of them. They aren’t catty, bitchy, backstabbers, they support each other when they are down, they applaud when they are up. I loved watching them when Naomi was on her date and they were all in the bathroom being open and honest about their issues. Stand up women, every one of them. As sad I was to see Stephanie go, she is one classy lady. Although I didn’t think she was a fit for Jason(I am rooting for Jill!) I have every confidence she will find a good man. Perhaps the next Bachelorette in the future???
Chris, I love your blogs! Thanks for the insight!!
Great blog Chris; can’t wait for the next! I have a couple of questions that I am hoping you will answer. Is any of what Jason or the girls say/do scripted? Would you consider doing a behind the scenes, deleted scenes, or even cutting floor material after the final rose ceremony? For all us that are hooked, we would love another week or two to get used to it being finished for another season.
Even though I picked Melissa from the first episode, I was hoping my fellow Canadian Jillian would be his choice, but she lost her chance when she admitted she went into this for the “adventure”. He will never pick her now!
Speaking of Ellen, she is usually right, and she said Jason picks Dee – so when does she show up again??
Kinda hoping Steph will just say NO, if they offer her the Bachelorette. First of all, they should probably think outside the box and stop making Bachelor contestants the only Bachelorettes. There are plenty of women that would likely want the chance to similarly debase themselves – don’t they deserve a shot too? But, more importantly, I think Steph should leave this whole situation at this classy high point. She is beautiful (if a bit plastic), seems like a great person and has a fantastic daughter. I can’t imagine that this exposure alone won’t bring her all the attention and admirers she could ever want. The classy move would be to stop there, pick out a starstruck doctor or heir to a Southern meat product empire, and call it a day! But, that being said, I won’t be surprised to see her as our next Bachelorette…
Chris,
The people of Illinois have suffered enough. Please leave us out of your blog next week. My vote is for Stephanie for the next Bachelorette!
My vote is for Stephanie to be the Bachelorette next season. She is class all the way.
