I hate that they don’t display all of the talent of Hollywood week. I know someone who made it all the way to the top 50, is a really great vocalist, musician and songwriter but got NO air time until this past thursday night when they showed him singing for about 4 seconds and then Simon saying”it’s a no”.
It’s frustrating to see so many gimmicks get chosen over real and serious talent. To get kicked from the show because others are better is one thing. To get booted to make room for ‘rating drama’ is disheartening. I know it’s a show but as a long time fan of AI, I thought and had hoped it was truly a SINGING COMPETITION. Very disappointing…

on Monday Jeri made a comment” what David Cook that was last year? oh but why can’t I still vote on him..” that was a good one.Fortunately David had enough votes to last him the next 3 seasons at least!! There are maybe one or two who are really good so far, (The best ones were in seasons 1,4,5(not the winner but the 4th runner up(5th?-) and of course SEASON 7, my fave..David Cook..!!Just remember people..THIS IS A SINGING competition!Not a popularity competition. Make sure your ears are cleaned out before you start Listening..really listening..and make sure no DRAMA QUEENS get through…

But David Cook and Chris Daughtry are still my faves!!! One proved that you don’t have to win to make it on the charts the other proved that even though you’re number 1 you can still rock out the way YOU want to, and not have to put out the MUSIC they want you to. We love ya’ guys!!
